I've seen a lot of people wearing XXL that didn't necessarily "need" all of that material. And most of them were indeed douchebags, or at least definitely appeared that way.

Ha, same price. However it's a tractor trailer variety. Just not the same.

Except then I'd need a giant ass trailer too. Who knows, I may try to get one again after the deployment to replace the ranger.

In november I lost my baby. It got totaled out, and my trusted mechanic took a look at it and told me that there are times worth keeping and fixing a car, and this was not one of them. bent frame, engine damage, radiator damage. The list goes on. So I tearfully gave it up to the insurance company. I just saw it fixed on back and back on craigslist. I would be very weary of this car now. They are lying about the title status and make no mention of the accident.
Also, first post and I am excited to join the community, and will be a subie owner soon!

Has this one been discussed yet? Just curious on other people's take on it. He had a comment in the ad before asking people to stop flagging it. I'm surely no Subie expert, but there's no way that's a real STi. No exterior badging (which is obviously easy to remove), it's got a 2.2 and 5 spd, no STi logo on the steering wheel or gauge cluster, and the speedo goes to 140 when it looks like an STi goes to 160 (per google search). Looks like a pretty well done clone if anything.

    Run the vin?

Looks like a wrx with sti wing and interior. It would be a decent pain in the dick to add a 5speed to an sti. The hvac lights and cluster are wrx green. Wouldnt be surprised if its a hacked together WMC (or similar) car.

The seller is one of our members old business partners. He told me to never buy a Subaru from him, so I probably never will as i trust him quite a bit.

To be fair, that's not at all uncommon for used WRXs in general.

Pretty sure the guy is a member on here and had the car posted in the FS section. Looks like he's open and upfront with damage and condition in the ad.

Kid at work found that this weekend and asked me about it this morning. As far as I can tell, seems like a pretty decent deal, no? Get the heads redone and do the clutch while you're in there. Looks like everything else you'd want done pretty much comes with it. And we work at a body shop, so that paint thing really ain't a thing. Wish I had the cash laying around to party.

I'd actually be OK with buying that car... for about a third of what they're asking. While cheesey, I'll deal with it to have a sedan, especially a blobeye.

Pretty steep price there, nice build, I think it would look better with STi rear fenders on it though.
