    As an owner of a 2003 Sentra SE-R Spec-V....

    Ewwwwww.

If that care was bone stock, with that kind of mileage, it *might* be worth half that.

Every mod on that car reduces it's value, except the header.

I wouldn't pay that much with the rust. And he doesn't mention anything about the new motor other than the mileage. I'd want alot more details on that also.

    Hmmm...

Surprisingly enough Kneel, he's not really too far off if the car fits in the "excellent condition" category. Which is just crazy as all get out.

Thank you for the insight. That's crazy. I've seen Chevy's depreciate more.

That motor will end up blowing a hole in the sleeve.
100mm is pretty big on stock sleeves. And you usually only bore the cylinders when you blow up the motor, so there's probably going to be some other issues with the car from that happening. But who knows. It's a modified Subaru, they all blow up eventually

If they're in the same condition exterior wise then I'd rather spend the extra $1.5k to get something with dramatically less miles.

That's what I was seeing, Manual and 70k less miles. Much better deal, but you never really know until you drive them I guess.

I'm on the hunt for my first Subie... is it just me or is the market a bit inflated? I feel like I could sell my Subaru powered pressure washer for 3k...LOL!!

No offense to whoever owns this, I'm just shocked at the resale value :)

Bugeyes can be priced at a premium. Wagons are generally cheaper. Hard to find a decent one for a good deal. I would definitely say that's overpriced, but not by much. These cars are worth what people will pay for them.

Overpriced, possibly...but not by much. Bugeyes with 150k to 200k are going for $4k-6k on a pretty regular basis. I've seen a couple with slightly lower miles go for $9k-10k.

So what I'm saying is, start a Craigslist add for that Subaru powered generator. Is it a Ridgid?

    ROFL!!!

That's awesome - I should have jumped on the 02 bugeye I test drove when I had the chance.

This isn't on topic, but does one generation have more value than the others? Bug/blob/hawk?

Hawkeyes have the largest resale value. I've seen 06/7 STIs with fairly decent mileage go for more than $20k.

I had my bugeye totaled by a flood in 2011(9 yrs old). Had rust, 204,000 miles on it, and front end damage. They gave me $8,400 for it.

I've always thought that it was a little nuts...but i wasn't complaining either!

Things to note when looking at random 5 hole wheels. Make sure both sets of holes are actually for lug nuts. Sometimes these are just for show, or weight reduction.
Make sure the hub bore will fit your Subaru, and also make sure the offset is correct. Subarus are dumb on this regard.
It would be worth asking if they would allow a test fit, if they do fit, this looks like a great deal.

Has anyone seen this silly sh*t? Does anyone really have 8k for a very rear convertible metro? Look at that custom paint job! Looks more like slimer jizzed all over and slapped a One-of-A-Kind certificate on that bad boy. This car would fit perfectly in the Moonbeam city world.
