I started about a month ago and I am responsible for writing all ads for our inventory among other things. During my employment, I have hired a full time detail guy, spent thousands on supplies and have put in place several processes that will only benefit the future of the business. I do make errors, as I am only human, however, I will improve the quality of our written online ads. If you or anyone have questions about any of the vehicles on our lot, I encourage you to call or text me directly @ 952-228-0080. I will answer any question with honesty and my personal opinion about the vehicle. I also have the ability to search nation wide for a specific vehicle that fits your needs. I am here for you and anyone else that may have questions or concerns.

Thanks for the feedback Dave. To be fair, my experiences were all more than 1 year ago. You may be the quality control they needed to earn back some customers but I can tell you that your predecessors did enough ill-will that people on this site (including myself) have been leary

I've known Dave for almost a decade and he is a stand up dude! They can only benefit from his employment there.

Hopefully with a little elbow grease he'll whip them into shape! Good luck SubieDave!! Keep an eye out for a WRB hatch for me. ;)

I do have all the paperwork from the dealership on the work that has been done on this and there was almost $27,000 in parts and labor. I tried to upload but the file was too big.

That car caught my attention as well. When I saw the 430AWHP plate though I got a little scared, I cant imagine how much that car has been beat on. @-Drew can you email me over the paperwork. Im really curious about this car.

I'm curious, what is something like this really worth given the information? I'm still thinking about upgrading to a wrx (02-05 ish) but they vary by like 10K in "value"

The title status says rebuilt. . . So accident or just the engine being rebuilt? Still tho they want way too much for that car imo

"A noise" That's helpful. If I had to guess it's a bad tensioner or pulley on the timing belt, and on that case it's priced about $800 too high.

Deathly, you are correct, both were very limited runs, looks like around 500 Blaze Yellows were made for 2002, and around 1500 Sonic Yellows made for 2003.

I had one for 5 years. New to 120k miles. I really liked it, but the day I bought my first WRX I was like, um...what was that thing I used to drive?

That car looks to be in decent shape. The fmic goes a long way on those as the stock intercooler is tiny. Only 170hp stock, but they are fun to drive. That's got an exhaust too. Likely just a catback as the downpipes on these are impossible to find (search s pipe and j pipe for the Mazdaspeed Protégé to get a good look at how awful these pieces were from the factory. Unfortunately finding an aftermarket "s-pipe" was nearly impossible). Mazdas are notorious for horrid rust, so give it a good look around the whole car. The price for the miles on this looks pretty good. That said, the day I traded mine for a WRX I forgot all about it. They are cheap to maintain. Common issue revolves around "the clunk" suspension noise (you can live with it or try to find a fix that will likely be short term). And other small issues which usually aren't too hard to fix. The engine is the exact same as the regular protégé, so don't up the boost too much as the rods are also tiny.

I have tried to list my car on CL a ton of times now and it always gets flagged for removal in less than 30 mins. I think the shady "dealers" selling ****ty beat up STI's keep flagging me because my car is much better and cheaper than their listings.
I have basically given up on trying to list it on CL. Which is weird because I never had this problem when I listed my trucks or a honda civic.

This! One "problem" is that CL upgraded their software just recently. CL will automatically flag/delete a NEW ad if the previous ad was flagged and its too similar. It picks up if you use the same photos and words. I know this was intended to keep flagged posts off CL, but if you have a real ad it makes the A**holes who flag the ads much more powerful. Now, if your post is flagged, you have to create a brand new ad with new words and new pictures.

Two interesting bugeyes on craigslist right now:
    http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/dak/ctd/5495596883.html
Its a 2003 with 275k miles! Its priced cheap obviously, but its CLEAN! Not a bad entry level WRX for someone.

This is a 2002 aspen white wagon with the STI 6 speed conversion. Asking $7,500, but its salvage title. They guy doesn't know much about it, but the moter 2.0/2.5 hybrid was built by a reputable shop in Chicago. Runs well he says, but the tune is unknown. Turbo is unknown. Injectors unknown. Has been driven by the owner all winter.

The guy selling brought it to RS for a tune, but they could not get enough info to do a proper tune for the seller. The seller is right next to RS. The seller believes it was tuned with a Cobb AP, but that was stolen so they don't have any data about the tune or who tuned it.
