My thoughts exactly. As if you'd have the spare time and/or an extra hand to shift gears while you're absolutely drowning in what comes from piloting a vehicle of this magnitude.
It's like those mini Japanese work trucks in Optimus Prime cosplay. Listen to the exhaust! Lol, who would tool around in something like this? https://www.japaneseclassics.com/vehicle/1992-toyota-dyna-dekotora/
Toggle switches for days! And what in the actual f**k is going on with those mirror brackets? My god. So many questions I have.
There's a guy around Anoka with that sticker on the back window. Coincidentally, also on an absolute pile of Chevy truck.
Anyone know this car? https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/ram/cto/d/saint-paul-subaru-outback-xt/7184973219.html
Which of you owns this? https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/ram/pts/d/saint-paul-2003-subaru-forester-25x/7184753007.html
https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/cto/d/minneapolis-07-grand-caravan-92-chevy/7190548898.html A pair of "custom" vans for anyone who loves meth and ICP but also uses a wheelchair.
I consider coil overs “modifying” the car. KBB is $6k, but it may bring $9k. Pretty clean looking Fozzy though!
My favorite parts are the absolute cluster of hoses and wires with no rhyme or reason, the cheesy ass red wire loom covering the throttle/cruise cables (and other stuff), and the icing on the cake is the hard-line pcv hoses on the intercooler that are for some reason no longer mounted to the intercooler... Oh yeah. Washer bottle delete, cuz racecar.
Just a heads up to anybody that may come across this while searching the interwebs. I test drove this last night, and had it inspected this morning, as I'm in the market for a reliable AWD vehicle for my teenage daughter, in the $2500 range. https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/cto/d/minneapolis-subaru-forester/7234066412.html The verdict: "No issues" -both head gaskets are leaking oil & coolant -exhaust has a whistle on acceleration -front brakes are down to the warning tabs -P0483 cooling fan rationality malfunction -P0442 evap leak "Good tires" = 5/32nd all the way around "AC works excellently" = blows cool for 5 minutes, then blows luke warm Despite the fact that the pictures were taken in the parking lot of the car wash next door to JM, this vehicle has not been serviced/inspected by JM. That's what initially had me very hopeful for this one. After the inspection I was able to get the seller down to $1500, but I just couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger, knowing that there could be a host of issues there, once you start digging in. The seller said he was going to just sell it to someone else, and didn't seem very concerned about disclosing the issues to the next person in line. Vehicle is listed for $2500 on CL, and $2200 on FB Marketplace. The search continues!
Good call! You would have had $4k into it by the time that you sorted that mess out. Edit:Just looked at the link. It is a clean specimen as far as shell and interior goes though! Would make a good “handyman special” for someone that can do the work themselves!
Can someone buy this so I don't https://rmn.craigslist.org/cto/d/kasson-2003-subaru-forester-awd/7236010913.html
https://nextdoor.com/for_sale_and_f...a2dd-82e6e4eecaf4?init_source=copy_link_share Nextdoor, not craigslist, but same same. no mention of timing belt service, but it's cheap.
Could be a sizeable project to get back on the road but at that price it's tempting... https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/ram/pts/d/chisago-city-1992-subaru-svx/7236409686.html
Possibly. I might regret this terribly but I'm actually going to check it out on Saturday. Talked to the guy for a while and it at least sounds pretty decent, low miles and no known mechanical issues aside from the radiator. Minor rust and a dented fender but otherwise solid body. I'll keep you guys posted after I see it.
