well said man. don't have to have the fastest car to sound mean!

don't think we'll be doing that again. apparently (I wasn't there) they spent like an hour laying out a nice course, did like 3 laps, and his dad started yelling at them for tearing up the fields (which is extremely strange....cause that's all we've ever done up there....just never set up cones). IIRC martin didn't even get to put his nokians on.

I'm not sick of my exhaust....

okay. i'm chomping at the bit here to get my stage 2 plans rolling.. if i order an UP, DP and even headers; are the odds in my favor that I can by enough beer for anyone and everyone to help me get all that installed? I'm kinda low on cash, but over anxious. then joe, if i get a stage 2 base map sent up here, you can flash it until i find time to go down and get for real tuned... right? and i'll be alright with the stock cat back for a while, true? sorry to be all off topic on duluth firestone thread, but to me it kind of just seems like "duluth's thread" these days.. thanks!

well i have experience doing uppipes(dont buy cheap ones they don't fit right) i have that down to about 3 hrs to a tear down-reassemble, and the dp comes off anyways so that shouldn't add more than 10 min

There is definitely enough know how here in town to get that done. just say when and where and I bet you can count on at least a few people showing up...

hellls yeah I'd love to help withexhaust, I've got gt spec headers/up which cost 500 but you could probably find them cheaper, doing them all at once will be much easier. plus if you get gt spec they have a 3 bolt flange on headers to uppipe. everything else is really just time consuming but easy, I've got everything to do it at my place although we just have to crawl around in gravel but I don't mind. either way, just order it already!!!

nice. thanks everyone. I'll get this stuff ordered asap. wrxboy2003 has swore to me that erz stuff fits great and works well.. I know that stuff is cheap though.. if i bought those borla headers dipp is selling, and an erz UP and DP do you guys think any of that would have to be heat wrapped? I could start with that stuff, and eventually when i have more money invest in higher quality...? Good ideas, bad ideas- check one.

I didn't heat wrap my stuff because there is a chance that the metal will get to hot and crack. I haven't had any heat soaking issues but if you are worried about it I've got a cobb heat shield sitting in my room you can have for 35, your stock one won't fit over a new d/p without modification

i have an erz up...it didn't fit right at the header but i think my header flange was a bit warped at the top...if u want it i'll give it up for $30 and if it doesn't work you can have the cash back

was it the stock header that it didn't fit with or an aftermarket one? i think you have yourself a deal here, though if we get everything torn apart and it wont work i'll be a little out of luck considering we'd have to put it back together with the stock up. hmmmnnmn, i'll figure this out in the morning when i'm more sober.. appreciate it tho!

that was the stock headers he was using. something really didn't line up right. and in the process....we ended up breaking numerous bolts.

I, too, have the equipment and space to do it. and also on gravel. I work real unpredictable hours.....but if I've got a day off we can certainly rip it apart here (and I suppose we could put it back together again  ).

i think my header is just kinda warped at the flange, i had to monkey with it for a while to get a good seal with an old leggy up but with some liquid gasket and blood it worked, but yeah this should fit just fine, all you need is gaskets and 1 stud for the flange to the turbo (broke one off the dp so i had to use it)

REMEMBER THE PB BLASTER YOU WILL NEED IT!!!! ALOT!!!!

holy crap, I don't have internet for like a week, and this thread grows like crazy!

Well I figured I'd give you duluth guys an update on my car. Basically, I'm waiting on information. I can't figure out where I need to drill/tap my head for my coolant feed line. i think I know, but I'm not gonna take a drill to my head on a whim. Also, After talking to Joe last week, I think I might be buying a different turbo. I have a 16g, but it's off a DSM so all the flanges are wrong. I think I'm going to see what a 18g goes for. Anyway, that's the update for now...Oh, and I'm seriously considering just tacking the price of a PPG geared 5-speed onto my student loan...we'll see.

Havent been there for around 4 months, but there is a place in east superior on hwy 53 that has or had as the case may be, 93 octane.

Sorry, cant remember what station, but it is almost out of town, and is on the west side of the highway.

I think i might of saw a couple you guys last night in canal parked at grandmas saloon around 11...? I was driving the loop with the lady friend, saw what looked like a psm wagon and sedan parked in there among the rest of the duluth tuner crowd.. Wish i could have stopped but i was in a hurry, if it was any of you guys on here you prolly noticed me since i kinda gunned it at the stop sign.. I'm still trying to round up parts for exhaust and such, but this summer blows for making money so far...

Alright, looks like i'll have a perrin divorced wastegate dp, prodrive round axelback, and hopefully gran0393's up pipe by the end of this week. I'm going to be in duluth for the next few weeks quite a bit, really any day any time before 2:00 pm will work. But if we tear it apart in the morning, it'll have to be drivable by 2:00... I'm for doing it late at night with beer too. Let me know what will work for you guys. I'll supply beer and whatever else is needed!

I don't work till 500 everyday this week so I can do it, I'd like to get started as soon as possible to make sure you have a car to drive by 2 but that shouldn't be a problem. make sure you have the turbo to dp gasket, a new donut for dp to cat back if yours is shot, and any other gasket you may need. o and as far as the up pipe. I have never seen it so I don't know how much of a pain in the ass it will be but I'll take a look at it and see if it looks "bolt-in-able" if not, I don't have a welder and I don't know if it would really be worth it to try... but that all up to you. it would be easier to do the up pipe when the dp is off and if you take the dp off a second time to do the up later you would need a new gasket again. anyways, this is all up to you. let me know when you wanna get started on it. I'm busy from 12-5 monday but other than that I'm free. 218.329.2225
