Does this happen anymore? Chux, Grayguy I see you guys over at D-SCE but do Subaru meets ever happen? There is a guy at legacygt.com from up in TB asking about a meet, and I don't even know what to tell him.

Pick a day and we'll plan a meet. That's how it seems to work here.

    nothing subaru-specific (hence the un-sticky....).

    Well....

Obviously Canal Park is one of the main tourist spots. Along with that is the lift bridge and park point. Park Point is pretty sweet. The beach goes from the lift bridge to wisconsin. So if you like long walks on the beach, that's your spot.

Check out Enger Tower. Best view of the twin ports. It's in Enger Park and there is a golf course there, so you should be able to find it. There are several lookout spots along Skyline Parkway like Hawk Ridge and a few others.

The Scenic Drive is cool I guess. That's where I smoked a deer doing about 100 4 years ago. I fished at the French River a lot.

Gooseberry is only about an hour up the shore from Duluth. The Breakwall in Two Harbors is pretty cool for first timers as well. On sunny days that are not horribly windy you can see over 100 feet down :eek3:

Don't waste your time eating at Grandma's. Most of the food sucks, and they have quite the cockroach problem. There's a bunch of good little sandwich shops, like Sir Benedict's, Amazing Grace, Bixby's, etc. Hacienda del Sol (SP) is definitly better than Little Angie's. I like the Brewhouse, as they brew their own beer there.

    hmmmmmm.

Anyone still doing this? (I didnt read all 44 pages so maybe something happened) I know now, maybe not so much cause of the winter.. But I think it would be cool to see who all is still in duluth... I have seen a few of the members around town (a blue bugeye with club stickers[think a girl was driving], Devil in his neon [only saw his sube once], some yellow bugeye with carbon hood and trunk, and someone lives on anderson rd about a mile away from my gf and 2.5 miles away from me) who is from Duluth!? Would like to get to know you all!!

Just wondering if anyone would be interested in starting this up sometime over the summer? Local sube bbq or montly meeting? Anyone in Duluth or surrounding area interested?

there are quite a few of us....but the idea of hanging out in a parking lot didn't really catch on.

every tuesday night, however, the d-sce crew gets together (all though, in the winter, it seems to be mostly max and I, and occasionally kalie, kyle, and dopp....)

Yeah... I had checked out d-sce when i first joined the forum... Kind of interesting but doesnt seem to see too much activity... Maybe its just that it is winter... I just thought it would be cool to hook up with some locals and see what is up!

there's a fair amount of activity, but it definitely slows over the winter. those weekly meets are pretty busy in the summer.

Yeah, activity dies down quite a bit in the winter, but there was quite a while this summer where we were averaging 20-30 cars getting together atleast once a week if not more. You should come out sometime and hang out, cause that's basically what d-sce is all about, meeting some local people and hanging out. We aren't brand-racist, we don't really care what you drive, were just out for a good time

not much for subaru-specific stuff....but the car guys get together every Tuesday. Grayguy's almost always there in his T-leg. StatGSR in his Wagacy sometimes. I have this tuesday off, so I'll be there, most likely in the XT6. Come on out! Usually we meet at the port terminal parking lot about 6:30. hang for awhile (usually until enough of us get cold to leave), and then go somewhere to catch some grub. come on out!

I think you mean Bi-annual Duluth firestone meet... You know, you could have out with all of us weekly if you wanted to...
