lol we tried that last year at gravity park when dan (boomer) tore his pants.....that didn't work out so well.uke:
Ken's a bad ass driver with skills but after seeing pastrana making that jump mr. block will be long forgotten. time for a new star... who will be the one...hmmm.
doesn't appear to have been a problem http://www.rally-america.com/events/2010/STPR/results/startorder/
Do you think he will have the car he rolled or a new one? It's still an 09, but he did a lot of damage to the car in oragon.
Well i see that on the WRC on Facebook page, they are pulling Alex from the car and putting in a new co-driver... http://wrc.com/jsp/index.jsp?lnk=101&id=7879&desc=Block+gains+a+new+co-driver+for+Portugal+test
that article just says ken used Markko Martin as a co-driver during a test session. - nothing about him being a replacement to alex.
you are correct it does only state for practice, but why practice with one co-driver and race with a different? I feel that Alex's job is on the line, and this is Fords way of making that public, kinda of a passive aggressive Minnesota style attack.
maybe alex had other commitments? it's not uncommon for drivers to utilize several codrivers. Seeing how Markko was a former factory ford driver he was probably sitting in to help ken optimize the car seeing as how he hasn't had much in the way of test and tune sessions with it.
Ok maybe I'm just hoping for ken to fail on the WRC.... Poor ken has only finished 1 RA event (to which he won) but being as though he cant seem to finish a RA event I dont see how he thinks he can compete with drivers that grew up on and in stage rally racing.
Ken is failing at WRC, which kind of sucks cause it's going to be harder to get manufactures to sponser americans and americans are going to be less interested in wrc. As much as I don't like block and will rip on him (not quite as much as putz though, if he's still on here), I do want to see him do well in WRC to open the doors to other real drivers who can actually finish a rally.
oh hai, kb rolled the focus http://www.wrc.com/jsp/index.jsp?ln...ads at Friday midpoint&rally_id=P&season=2010
He'll be back tomorrow for Day 2... http://www.wrc.com/jsp/index.jsp?lnk=101&id=7930&desc=Block+set+to+return+on+day+two+in+Portugal
Damaged roll cage doesn't think that. http://wrc.com/jsp/index.jsp?lnk=101&id=7974&desc=Block 'devastated' by Portugal retirement
Sigh. Well, at least he's getting plenty of air miles. I think I've finally figured Ken Block out, and it's an odd realisation. Cast your minds back to the early days of motor racing (be it circuit or rally), and think of those drivers. Many of them were so called 'Gentlemen Drivers' who were little more than rich playboys with nothing better to do than impress chicks with feats of derring do. These days, most teams employ professional race car drivers because they have pro grade skills; they aren't just out playing with toys. KB seems to harken back to these "Gentlemen Drivers", so it's not that he's a bad bloke, he's just in the wrong time. But he's lucky. If he was playing around back in the era he would be more suited to, he'd probably have been terminally injured long before now. He's a walking, talking testament to how strong modern rally cars are. Stuart.
oh Ken.... Two yellow lines means no passing!!!!! FAIL I found this on the RA website under the STPR photo contest....
speaking of which everyone should go 5 this photo http://rally-america.com/contests/2010_STPR/vote/1009/5
