Does the event go on in rain or shine? I'm seeing rain forecasted for about 6-10am tomorrow morning. :(

30%ish chance, and I guess it's rain or shine. I'm planning on heading to Perkins around 7:15am and going...assuming its not pouring when I wake up!

Yea I'm the same way. If I wake up to rain I'm out. But if it doesn't rain I'll get on the road. I'll try to be @ Perkins at 7:15. You won't miss me in the bright orange wheels. ;)

Just finished pulling my offshore team out of the fire. Still have to run to CVS. Probably will be skipping this one. We'll see.

I highly recommend you guys use the old Circuit City lot instead of Perkins. Perkins' lot is just too small and it's already busy by that time. The Circuit City lot is so huge (and vacant) even Sheen won't have a problem finding somewhere to park.

Agreed about the g35s people taking off now. We left at 7:20. Knew Subaru people late but come on people. Lots of subarus up top.

they should seriously consider limiting the number of the same cars they allow. I don't think anyone was interested in seeing 25+ G35's, SRT4's, or VW's besides the owners of them...its a waste of space and no one cares.

Agreed on too many g35's. And all of them looked exactly the same. And yea sadly, there were only about 5 Subaru's parked together.

There was a few rare classics and exotics hanging around. Two brand new fisker karma, a maserati grand turismo, gallardo superleggera, vespa 400, R35 gtr, a shelby series 1, a few different ferraris and a couple Jags. Other than that, it was a lot of muscle cars, 911's, Bimmers, VW golfs, and G35's.

I was surprised at the turnout considering the impending weather.

If what you are asking is whether or not they fixed people being retarded and not leaving a spot at the end of each row so others could leave...no they did not. I was about 30 seconds away from driving the Forester off the curb.
Agreed on ridiculous row of G35's...leave some room for people with interesting cars.
As for noteworthy cars, there was the usual regular fun stuff, but I suppose the Skyline could be considered noteworthy, had I been able to get throught the crowd of 15 year olds to have a look.

Apparently I am crabby today, lol.

I had to drive my wrex off the curb. It is retarded how people parked up there, they need to find a solution for that.

I've always been interested in this event for the hotrods and stand outs that you don't see everyday. Unfortunately, the popularity of it has kept me far away. Maybe some day i'll make it down there...i'll just park in the next closest burb and ride a bicycle over.

That's enough to keep me away. It takes all of 15 minutes to setup poles and string some flagged lines to show people where to park. Last year I got parked in twice and had to curb it, and a third time I got flat out screwed such that I had to wait two hours, with my four year old and my brother in-laws. One of them was up here on leave from active duty and missed a flight "home". Apparently the army was not amused with his excuse. Of course my kid completely lost it too because he was hot and hungry. The plan was supposed to be a quick pop in to C&C and then breakfast.

I can't do that to people. Unacceptable.

The people managing traffic were not doing a very good job. I would be fine with paying for parking if they figured that out.

Of course the Army isn't amused to an excuse of enjoying time with family as well as the view of exotic cars, they are all sad they have to stare at Humvees and paperwork all day.

Wow...that's a story of epic fail thanks to lack of organization. I'll pass and stick to Calhoun and Firestone. The only thing i dislike about the Stone is getting skreet-raced when i leave by the youngins.
