I think this thread is the new Firestone meet. Anyone ever been to Cars and Coffee? Thoughts? Mostly Euro metal?
From what I understand, Cars and Coffee used to be about seeing interesting and unique cars that rich people owned and displayed at their hangout spot. You could go, have some coffee, and walk around looking at all the expensive and rare cars. Then I heard some second hand reports of it becoming a hangout for bros, stance tards, and deutchebags. And there was a thread on MNSportCompacts about how there were like 30 Infiniti G35/37s lined up in the Japanese area, with little to nothing else there representing the land of the rising sun. And most were in agreement that it ruins the air and spirit of the event if they let in 30 of the same car...especially nearly bone stock G35s. And then the G owners came in and started protesting that consensus with their argument being "we were told we could do it." So, C&C is becoming alot like the "MNGarageGeeks" meets, where it is filled with stance-tards and make-specific event spamming. I've seen a million VW Golfs with rusty body panels and 15x12 BBS knockoffs with 215's on them. There's nothing special about it.
Its everything, but mostly nice stuff. Stock appearing pedestrian cars often anger the normal crowd, italian, british, german, other exotics.

Let's make the new Subaru me@t up at the Dairy Queen at 394/Xenia in SLP - food, Home Depot, Costco, movie theater, bars, etc...? Thoughts? I'm not going to squab with some clown about the arsephalt at Uni/Fyrebone.
It's not about the lot or anything like that... I squared that away with the owner... It that the old MNSubaru community has pretty much retired... The new MNSubaru community meets on Tuesday's over at the Calhoun lot. FYI the largely populated Friday meets are dead
Firestone died off because the car hangouts on University are gone thanks to Porky's going away and the construction of the light rail. If you are looking for car related hangout time on Fridays, your best bet is Harmar. Lots of cars up there. It's where I go on Friday nights when I go out. Not an all Subaru thing, but it has the feel of the old Uni/Firestone nights.
Sears is pretty hopping too. I've found Har Mar to be hit or miss. I'm thinking a "Friday night meet" thread where people can say if they're going to Sears or Harmar would be useful.
How about something on the near-west side - e.g. SLP or GV? Plenty of venues with parking and entertainment options...
Yup. Old mnsubaru is a bunch of us who used to go to firestone about 4 years ago. I'd say I was near the end of the the old school. Probably never even heard of me I've meet almost all of the old school members. ****, we should get a old group of us together and BS. Mix, soup, curly, shibbs, blowzone, 3rik + his gangbang boyz, bullwinkle, nuke, yosh. I'm free this friday, we should do a classic bar meet. I'll try to check back here.
