..had ~8" in my backyard this morning! I was out on the sled last night when there was about 6". Screw parking lots, I'll take the sled anyday. I have been hassled one too many times in parking lots....
Well Actually..... Now that you mention it...... I might have tapped one. Too much fun, how can you NOT do it?

For those of you around the Savage area, the softball areas on the west side of Dakota just north of Connelly Parway have a set of 3 parking lots with no light posts in the lot, and all three are connected by gently curving roads. It's hella fun, although I made myself nauseous during the last snow!
Savage scares me .. the cops there love to hide where you can't see them and then BAM! they're on you like flies on .. well you know what flies flock to  There are some pretty cool places around where I live to go play in, too. hmmm...
Too bad gas has to skyrocket to ruin a snow weekend. I wont be getting my fill of snow driving. You think frozen lakes are still good? I dont want to fall through
lakes are still good, i consistantly see 10-15 cars on round lake everyday, and usually they are all hillbillys driving there pick-em-up trucks .
your not going to find to many lakes you can get away with doing that in the cities, do yourself a favor, drive 30-40 min north and there are plenty of lakes for you to do that on up here.
lakes should still be good, but becareful, driving fast creates waves under the ice which can cause breakage. prolly more of concern for ice fisherman then you (out run teh wave!) i might head down to firestone around 8 or 9 ish. otherwise i will explore around me, new territory and all.
I got out for a few drives tonight. There were very few people on the roads. I had some of the most fun just driving up and down roads that had not been plowed. There's a perfect lot near my house that I always rush to whenever it snows. Got some pics today! Reid
Blaine High School lots FTW! 4 good sized lots, lights on the outside, and all the Blaine cops are too busy staking out Majors and Time Out for dubbers to bother with a parking lot rally!
Hmmm, I have never seen a cop hide in Savage...and I have lived here for 2.5yrs. I guess you have been unlucky.
I have seen them hiding like crazy on 13 all the time.. :eek3: I'm headin that way tonight so we'll see ... I don't get pulled over for speeding. I don't speed. I don't break the law, and if I do, I don't do it on a road where I know cops hide out ...
Damnit. I'm in California on the snowiest day of the year. You guys going to post pics? It did snow in the Mojave desert where I am though. Only an inch and it was gone by noon. I did rent a 2005 Outback. Nice car, but it has an automatic. Reid
My car FINALLY thawed. Still snow/ice in the suspension tho. haha, the one thing black is nice for! 25+ degrees and my car is melting!

I didn't fit in the wagon with the limited package, my head hit the roof, and i'm only 6 foot 2. The sunroof lowers the headliner dramatically. With a helmet on it would have been uncomfortable. The leather seats were much nicer than i expected, but to me leather seats + sunroof = weighs more + not worth it to me to pay extra for.
