we had better get some snow in 07 here still. pretty sure i will go nuts if we dont get snow before 08.
Car or no car, we need some damn snow this year. I still got my stockers and still need to mount the winter tires I bought from Bill. I'm keeping them no matter what. I'll just curl up in one and roll down to Firestone to meet you guys. =]
I am looking forward to my first winter with my subie. I beat the hell out of my old camry in the snow (statGSR can attest to that) and can only imagine how much more fun I'll have with awd.
I swear officer, there was ice under all that snow and my car just wouldn't stop spinning around in circles!
Haha, this made me think of a story from two years ago... I was out at the Carlson lot off of 494 and Highway 6, during a good snowfall. Of course, I'm out there sliding sideways through the parking lot at a good clip, doing donuts, everything. I thought I saw a cop go by, so I started to cool it off a bit. Sure enough, one had, and he was coming back up the road (Xenium) but didn't turn into the lot but rather kept going up the road. I leave the parking lot, and go in his direction, and what do I find at the intersection of Hwy 6 and Xenium? He's got himself plugged deep into a snowbank. Another squad was on the scene, trying to help push him out, so I quick went through the intersection, parked, and ran over to give them some help. We got him pushed out, he was thoroughly embarrassed, but happy to have the help. Turns out he was chasing a guy in a little Geo Metro that made it through the intersection no problem. The funny part is, he found the guy in the Metro! He was just on his way to Home Depot and must not have realized he was being chased. Either way, after I left the lot I'd parked in, I got back out onto Xenium and went sideways across the four lanes that were there. Of course, what was behind me but a squad. I turned off on another road and he just kept going. I'm glad he recognized my car! Also, did I see you the other day on Broadway, or whatever that frontage road is over by 94, Brian? I wasn't sure if it was you or not.
