fun as always guys! spoolem - that was a sick little course through the industrial lots. w00t! Bravo sir.
Why thank you sir! My hat is off to you and 9blackmax6 for keeping up with my rally like pace through those sketchy maneuvers!!! It was a great time and I hope next time we can get more people together and have like ten cars going at once playing follow the leader! Untill next snowfall... DRIVE SAFE!
Get any pics? Leaving work I decided to have some fun in the staff parking lot. It's huge, long, unplowed, no light posts...almost perfect. Had's some fun's before my work called and told me that ULTA had called over and complained...****ers.
Yeah I'm starting to think that driving this car like I do in the winter is gonna get me in trouble ...
I get paranoid, hit the rev limiter doing a donut and well I know that its there for a reason I just think something catastrophic is gonna happen one day. Ticket or mechanical I'm not gonna like it.
Watch out for crubs. I think I'm done with the lets get a group together and do donuts and just going solo ro with two people. Lots of people invites cops (and requires bigger lots, limiting choices) and the larger number of cars invites issues. While my issue was all my fault, it was mostly because there was a car where i didn't expect it to be (who knew they could move?) I'm lucky. I have to say moving rev limiters is the thing I hate most about "tuners." If you're hitting the stock rev limiter, you're fine if you don't hang out right below it. But i worry about hitting that rev limiter in a car where it's moved a few RPMs. I know that tuner hasn't done the extensive testing that the OEM has 9and doesn't have to pay out warranty). Some even renew it. If i'm not building a race car, I want the rev limiter where it is. Oh and if you're doinga lot of donuts and such, keep an eye on oil temp. Mine get pretty high pretty quick because subaru thinks a couple fins on an oil pan are an oil cooler.
idk - that thing has whined since the first day it went in and its only getting louder. I'm sure my extended runs at 5500 RPM in 1st aren't helping any either. Kaboom into a snow pile wouldn't be that bad, either. lol
this just shows how much it all changes so fast. even last night they said 1 to 3, possibly 2 to 4 for us... now it sounds like 3 to 6 or so. compared to when this was posted, they were saying "sunny" on tuesday. Isn't it supposed to snow in the am tomorrow now? haha. wow
I'll be going out around the St. Louis Park area. I found some nice areas right by my house. Also the four firkins is have a beer tasing tonight, so I dont want to go too far so i can hit that up after the Shenanigans.
Show him the industrial course FTMFW!!1! Haha - and if you do, text me - I'd LOVE to see that project car.
where in bloomington are you located? carl lives by st louis park so maybe we can all go around there if it pans out.
Right on. Can't wait to go pick up my girl tonight (kinda not really though, broken Olds FTL ). She works by a big office park and the twisties are mad through there. Big wide road with wide sweeping turns. Good safe (but a little scary) 3rd gear slides around the corners. Also some smooth lots. I was absolutely skiing over them when I picked her up last night.
Barely able to distinguish where the road ends and the curb begins in some spots. - wait, bent control arms in our future (and past, lol) ... :eek3:
yea i drove down 100 and basicly was in 1st gear the whole way i even left my distributor at 4 thinking i would be the traffic no such luck everyone was crawling. Past some kid in his BMW stuck on the hill on Bush Lake Rd right by the ski jump He looks like he was straight from Jersey beach... i just blew by him AWD FTW!
