beware...line of storms is clippin towards us at like 40mph from the northwest. they said between 9 and 11 in the metro...could be hail and all of that nonsense.

Yeah, we hid at a bank drive through for a bit and then fled.

 

I was down at legends bar waiting for some people to show and the wind moved in, got gradually harder, just thought it was going to be weak, but then a huge blast came..pushed me back, and we heard tree branches snapping. sand got whipped up and just smacked us in the face---got sand in the eyes and mouth. been a while since I have directly felt wind that powerful. on the news they said mpls had a gust of 62.

saw some trees down too on the way home.

figures that I just washed my car today. I wish I had found a bank drive through, those are perfect.

 

yea we had 6 people in my wagon...3 in the back 2 in the front and one in the trunk i has pics it was epic then we went to a bar and had some drinks and food while round 2 paseed us w00t...fun times and lots of lulz.

 

sounds like a good time... at least we didn't get hail... I can handle the rest of it. :yumyum:

thats just bad man. of all the things to go wrong, you got sand in your mouth. thats probably the worst thing i could think of happening at a time like that. just gross. i feel nasty even thinking of sand in my mouth. sorry to hear about it.

must have smelts like sex after you guys got out. LOL jk it was nice as hell where I was. all night long.

 

haha... yes, it sucked. sand in the mouth was not cool... it's pretty hard to get it out as you have gritty stuff sticking around everywhere. there was a half dirt parking lot across the road that it got kicked up from. the initial gusts of wind were probably 35-40, which is pretty good, but that one puff was so hard that it blew into your eyes, literally to the point where it made it uncomfortable to have them open. like a can of compressed air blowing in you or something. yeah there were several trees down in NE mpls on the way home, one was blocking the whole road even.

hopefully the cops don't think you are trying to pull a minnesota version of the italian job heist by parking outside the bank---instead of mini coopers, a bunch of subies.
