Great game last night. Heart break at 1:20 left, but I will take the point. I know the flames and knockleheads were losing and that all that really matters. Solid play up till they started the dump and chase in the 3rd. I am guessign that they will be looking for playoff ticket money pretty soon. Russ

indeed the season is almost up. not much hockey left. only a month or so of games (2 if playoffs) then hockey trading over the summer.... and pregame in the fall... hmm... hockey rules. heres a pic i took from the saturday game. seats are 200 level, still can see everything perfectly. also the little clippers are awesome to watch from here. they look about 3 inches tall lol.

Not a bad seat in the hizzouse!!! I have been to quite a few games just chillin at the lower level bar table seating! Even those seats are awesome, plus easy access to beer :cheers: and the pisser!!! wow what an interesting game. What was with that penalty they called on burns at the very end of the 2nd? I missed the first few minutes of the third, so i didnt see what it was for. Velleux did a great job on that first goal. superb! I was very happy to see that. He is doing alot better this year than in those previous. I like it. Does anyone have a clue what is happening with nummilen? I heard he signed some 5 year deal with switzerland. It sucks that JL isnt playing him anymore i thought he added alot to the game. he had great puck control and could nail passes all day long. plus he was dope in the shoot outs (which we tend to have alot of). I want to see him play more.
All I know is that the Wild road trip to Vancouver next month is turning out to be a very interesting time to go. Neumin Is inda small for defense and everyone else has been playing good, so he is odd man out. The biggest thing is we have 8 guys and that means 2 have to sit. Now it has been so long since he has played that he needs a game or 2 to get back into game shape. Martin, I think i can see myself in your pic. If you look in the upper right hand corner of the rink and follow the glass around, there is someone sitting right on the edge of the glass with a white jersey, that is me. I should try and bring my camera again, last time they told me no professional equipment. its a d70s, so far from professional. Russ

this game was nuts. I was very happy to see nummy score. I was also impressed to hear that his penalty tonight was his first in the season. Again the 3rd period is never out friend, but we are now 25-0-1 for when we enter the 3rd ahead. There were some missed calls which should have tipped it into our favor alittle more. I swear the officials hate us.
Me three!!! Excellent action filled game... Damn officials got 'em back in the game a bit, but there were some crazy goals! Parrish scoring with like 6 seconds left in the first period was FTW! Then Gabarik finishing it all off on pass from Bouchard was a nice finishing touch!! Anyone notice how sick Bouchard's goal was to put us up 3 to 1... I think he made a move that left the entire Predator's line standing still, then went backhand top-shelf on their goalie! :eek4: God I love that guy, he just really needs to shoot more! Oh yeah, and Skoula really should get lost somewhere and dissappear... I'm sick of his turnovers and poor D! GO WILD!!!
I think he is one of the highest skilled players in the league... He tends to get lost a bit because of his lack of size, but man, when he gets a bit of open ice it is AMAZING!!!
I think the exact opposite Skoula is a good defense man for what we are paying him. excellent deal imo. Foster is where the problem is at. Sure he as a pretty good (hard) shot but he lacks every where else. he has a ton of turnovers and gets a ton of penalty minutes. plus he hardly ever uses his size for checking. we need to ditch foster.
Ok... I'll give ya the fact that Skoula can skate with the puck and he "uses" his body to position himself for puck control... For his size he does not hit anyone, (kinda like Foster too) but unlike Foster (0) he has no game on the power play and seems to just make too many quick, poor decisions when trying to move the puck out of his own end... Skoula doesn't make a ton, and Kim Johnsson (-6) would probably be the one that fits into the "overpaid" category, but Skoula still makes his share of mistakes for a guy brought in as a supposed solid smart player with some offensive skill... I kinda compare Skoula (-12) to a young Carney, but Carney (+11) doesn't skate nearly as well and have the same potential as Skoula, but makes much fewer mental mistakes in the defensive end... It does seem like Skoula has gotten better since being benched a month or so ago though. Just my .02... God I would love for us to take a shot at a solid veteran D-Man that can bring some checking ability and a some good play on special teams (power play & penalty kill)! Hmm... Rob Blake anyone?!?!
No Foppa for anyone this year. Also on a side note, I think i will have some playoff tickets to sell. As I get more info I will let everyone know. As of now, I have to potential for 4 tickets per game thought the cup if they make it that far. Russ
tmarc i think we will need to agree to disagree. I am happy to hear that we are not getting the flopper. I know he is really good an would ad alot of potential to our team. but i cant stand the flopping.
