I thought I was watching Slap shot that whole 3rd period. Those guys were pretty frustrated lol. I'm sure they will have an entirely different game tomorrow.
What a mess. Hope it carries over to home ice where we can hopefully put the hurt on. And yes I hope Boogard has a chance to use his hammer fists. As always great acting by Forsberg. He should win an emmy or a hammer fist
yes the flopper continues to flop away. I hope he flops his way right into a fist or a Rolston slapper.

^^^ It's amazing we had anyone left..... How about the fact that at one point they had like 9 or 10 power plays to our 3 late in the second period.... LAME! We will bounce back... Whole new game at Xcel! EDIT: Anyone else royally HATE Leperierre!?!? That little leprechaun seems to have little mans syndrom and picks one Nummelin, Bouchard, Veilliux, or Gaborik... Boogaard, or Voros, or any other defensemen for that matter come over and he runs like a little bitch!
The tears, they keep coming out of my eyes. I actually have to e-mail this to people so they can understand why I was LOL'n. Russ
Yup, same here. Somebody seriously NEEDS to make an animated .gif of the Veilleux nom nom nom.
WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! seriously? did anyone hear what the coach said after? yeah i dont think we can change anything..... as if he played well in the 2nd half of the game...
What do you want the Wild to do?? The Wild outshot them, they out hit them, they did everything they could do. Theodore was standing on his head all night. The Wild couldn't catch a lucky break. Doesn't matter what team it is, or who is on the team, if you have a hot goalie, you will win. The Avs have a hot goalie. One of the funnies from last night. During a commercial break, they pan to 2 people in the crowd and they have some fake teeth (or lack of teeth) in. They were totally doing the Steph NOM NOM NOM. Russ
Yea they showed a few people up on the jumbo tron with fake teeth. This lady that was sitting right below us had a sign that said "Hey Lappiere, would you fight me?" And the lady had to of been 75 years old! That was some funny stuff.
Well, in all fairness we did pretty much lay down for the better half of the 3rd period. First two periods were amazing, aside from not out scoring them. That was funny as hell!
the reason why we would get the great goals before was because we would get rid of the puck before the goalie could read what was going to happen. we had even more chances to shoot than we took. a lot of perfect opportunities when we should have had a man infront of the net waiting to get a rebound. also all the offsides was driving me crazy!!!!! the wild must have a dissorder where they cant see the blueline. guy with the puck would stop or make a right angle turn along the blueline and not cross it while the rest of the team was at full speed. we played dominant but there was slack in the areas that really get you opportunity.
Yup, he's one of my favorite players on the team. Oh well, I guess I'll have to find a new team to root for for the rest of the playoffs. As much as I love to watch Ovetchkin play, I kind of have a hard time rooting for the Caps simply because Matt Cooke plays for them.
Really, the only person I'd like to see go is Skoula. Even Johnsson stepped his game up this year. Burns, HOLY ISH did he become amazing this year or what. Imo, He's one of the only players out there giving 110% every second he's on the ice.
Lots of free agents this summer. Taken from the news paper RESTRICTED FREE AGENTS To retain rights, qualifying offer must be tendered in late June. Left wingers Stephane Veilleux, $546,700 cap hit in 2007-08 Right wingers Pierre-Marc Bouchard, $2.6 million Defensemen Kurtis Foster, $1.025 million UNRESTRICTED FREE AGENTS Can become completely free July 1 LW/C Pavol Demitra, $4.5 million cap hit in 2007-08 LW Brian Rolston, $2.432 million D Keith Carney, $2.1 million D Sean Hill, $1.325 million D Petteri Nummelin, $1.1 million LW Chris Simon, $1 million LW Todd Fedoruk, $875,000 RW Branko Radivojevic, $640,000 RW Matt Foy, $506,000 LW Aaron Voros, $495,000 Note: Minor-leaguers Erik Reitz, Joel Ward, Serge Payer and Steve Kelly also are unrestricted free agents. I hope they keep rolston, voros, and fedoruk. They'll have to sign Gaborik too. Veilleux and Bouchard would be worth keeping too, imo
Radio is going to be gone (torn ACL). Nummelin is going to be gone (going to play in Europe). I doubt we would re-sign Hill or Carney. Fedoruk will definitely and Voros more than likely will get resigned (Voros will probably take Radio's spot on the roster). I'm guessing that Rolston will be back; not sure on Demitra.
Ok, not WILD related, but is anyone else anticipating Lappiere getting his face pounded into the ground tonight by Detroilet?
