I would be interested to know the oil-change-interval history of the engine. Are you the original owner?
No I'm not. I'm the third; the first owner has all the maintenance records. Went to the local Subaru dealership every ~3k miles or so. He/she did a good job with everything minus some front end damage that I was failed to be told about by the guy I bought it from. However, the guy I bought it from had no idea what was going on with the car. I asked him about the banjo bolts, oil pickup, etc.. had no knowledge of anything or even what those were. My guess is he probably changed it once in his ~6-8 months of owning it. He didn't have any of his records. (Very easily could have never done it). I did it right away when I got back up to school with it about 10 hours after I bought it from him.
Are u kidding me you can get e85 in grand forks i live in crookston and spent lots of times in grand forks. you would be suprised how many people run e85 in the forks area
I wan't kidding you. At that point in time I didn't know there were many E85 stations up here. I never had to look around for it as I was running 91 octane. Calm your jets. I've been informed of how many E85 stations are up here. I'm still not going have it tuned for E as I have no idea where I'll be in a few months with a job. If it's down in the Minneapolis area, I'll more than likely buy a pump and injectors, then have it tuned.
Just got off the phone with Nuke. Progress update: Engine is done (has been for the past week or so). Turbo is built. Downpipe arrived today, waiting on the clutch today. He picked me up an ACT flywheel as well (thanks!). He was on his way to GS to get the adaptor and gaskets. These are the last little things to complete. He's planning on bringing the car in this weekend to finish it up and put everything together. Needless to say, I'm pretty pumped to get back into MY car opposed to borrowing vehicles and bumming rides off of everyone up here. Looking forward to breaking it all in and going from there. Any further updates will be posted here as usual. Thinking about buying corn on the cob and putting that in the gas tank to have a more organic e85. @Nhibbs
Spoke with Nuke today. Clutch was out of stock but was supposed to get one today so engine should be on its way in either tonight or tomorrow. Car should be set to go come this weekend. Couldn't be more happy.
Car is back in my possession, and it's running amazingly. Couldn't be more happy with the results. Thanks to the guys at NF. Just to keep the parts list going here: I purchased a DW 65c fuel pump, so that'll go in with time. Up to bat: New TMIC (soon-ish) BOV (soon-ish) Cobb STS (soon-ish) Catback exhaust (summer) wheels/tires/springs (come summer) put in my boost gauge (whenever it's not -30 degrees in this godforsaken place I call home)
