problem with oil pressure gauge... It's doing the opposite.. instead of raising up when gasing it.. it goes down to 0.. and then when you put it in neutral it runs up 100.. drives fine, everything seem normal but the gauge. Not sure what type it is.. I can bring the car to you if you want to check it out... PM me
Seriously? Look man, people on this forum are willing to help out, but you've gotta include a lot more info then that. Please see this thread. Thanks!
I have a 02 wrx, everything mainly stock. . when car is idle psi on oil pressure gauge goes to 100 then when its warmed up, sit at about 80psi.. now its doing 0-4 psi. when you drive the car putting it to gear would go down to 0psi and in neutral its goes up to 100psi.. doing the opposite.. prosport gauges. I see a ground and I think it's a power and a clear tube.
If you are using a mechanical gauge with a nylon line, get rid of that nylon line as soon as possible. They kink and break if you even look it them funny. When that happens, imagine the mess. Either in your engine bay, or under your dash. The answer is to use some -3 braided line and proper AN fittings that will not come apart.
Sounds to me like a problem with either the sender or the gauge is fried. (assuming they're electric gauges)
If you have a mechanical gauge (line that brings oil to the gauge itself), you have problems. If you have a electrical gauge, you should have a sender some place that the oil feed line goes too. From the sender to the gauge it is just a wire connection. If it is electrical gauge, it could be a bad sender or the gauge itself. Russ
yeah talk to some people about it and searching for threads on the problem.. it is a eletrical gauge. I am buying a new sender hopefully it's that.. the gauge still bounce around.. heard that sender on prosport gauge are sucky, I'm still debating if i want to buy a new gauge which is about 44 or just a sender which is 18.50 but are out of stock..
