This might be too early but I'm always looking forward to the RallyFest. Any word on possibly having a Rally Fest prior to the engagement for the weekend at one of the local dealerships? Its a great door opener for enthusiast like myself to get a up close opportunity to meet the drivers and cars. If no one knows I'm sure Scott Putnam does, I'll have to check if him of not.

I do not know about RallyFest. I talked to one of the organizers and it appears there will not be a display in downtown Mpls this year. That does cost money and the rally lost too much money last year. Here's hoping a big Max Attack field helps get the Ojibwe committee back on the correct side of the balance sheet.

that's exactly the kind of stuff they need if they can't find a ride. I'll get in touch with Mitch (just ordered a bunch of new hankooks from him today)

Well, the rally runs on Saturday, so if you can get up there in the morning, there will be corners for you to work on. Or if nothing else, you can ride along with someone that already has a assignment.

As for sunday, it would just be Amy and the banner crew pulling down the banner tape and everyone else driving home.

I am also working on getting details for rallyfest. So far there will not be anything downtown like last year, but they will more than likely be some kind of show at Tonka. But like I said, the details are being worked out as we speak and hopefully by next week we will have something concrete.

is anyone staying in the Park Rapids / Nevis area? I am not sure who all is going to be at my cabin but I am thinking a campfire and beer is always a good idea up north.

    Yay! Kevin gets to drink................legally

Are we referring to Ziptie? Mayhem? Both?

I believe the answer is YES

No, I believe that Kevin (or someone) will be pulling me in the red "I be drunken-vagon" wagon across the street to our hotel room.

Ziptie+Mayhem+Ojibwe afterparty=need for non-motorized wheeled conveyance from curling club to hotel.

What do the Mayhem members think? Is it time to indoctrinate Ziptie into the order of the 1812? By the pitcher?

This is the result of the last night of 1812s by the pitcher.

You have to keep people off of the road. Some corners you might have a random show up, some corners you will have wildlife show up, some corners you rattle off 1500-2000 pics. I think even with the years I ran sweep, I don't think I have come home with less than 1000 pics. So as long as you can keep people off the road (if anyone even shows up), you can take pics. If no one shows up, that is just that much more time taking pics.

The hotel is stumbling distance from the Curling club, but it sounds like we might need the EMT services for at least one of us.
