bannering is a ton of fun. last year they gave out shirts and hats to the workers...and if you stayed after the rally to de-banner they gave ya another shirt. ...pretty cool
I've got a decent CB + mag mount antenna that I'd let go for $50 for both. As for the other, umm, you're on your own...
I've got an ok cb, trunk lip antenna mount and 5 foot antenna that someone can borrow (or buy if they want).
A hand held scanner for being on the active stages would be way more helpful. After the 2nd year of being stuck out in the woods without knowing what the hell was going on, we picked one up. Russ
Wow, that was fun! Ran all of Fridays and all of Saturdays stages yesterday to check for new stuff to add to the list of stuff that needs bannered. That is A LOT of gravel in one day. All I can say is "WHEE!". The roads are awesome. Thursday Banner Crew update. Plan is to meet South of Motley at 9 am, then head up. I asked about the banner crew watching the practice stage and we're good as long as everyone gets waivered and we are safe. I can't wait, I signed up to work both days, and shucks, the wife won't make it this year..... bummer. Guess it is just me and the guys this year. what ever will we do? I'm having my skid plate made today!!! I will sell it after the event, it is very simple, but quite heavy. We didn't have enough aluminum so we opted for stainless instead, man is it heavy!
