Out at my dad's shop he's had this old legacy wagon that used to be for mail delivery and it's RHD. I always just thought it was a nifty little car and nothing more, but today I put something together...would it be possible to put the EJ20tt in that? I've read the only complication with that swap is the way the turbos are set, it will only work with a JDM RHD car. I'm trying to find a car to get into events with and wondering if this car would be something worth the time and bank. Thanks a bunch.

It's also a five speed, so the more I look at this the more fun it sounds haha.

No I don't, I'm looking for just an engine right now to see how much that would be, I may be wrong but I read that you have to essentially re-wire the entire car? I've seen a couple write up's but none for one like this, but maybe the same concept?

I dont think this is necessarily true.. my good friend phil would know the answer to this.. i will ask and post back. ( i say this because he has done more wiring harness's then i know about, and has done them right.)

I believe 90% of the time if you know what your doing you can simply splice into the existing harness using the jdm plugs.

Thanks a lot, I guess we don't own the car quite yet, I'm trying to get in contact with the guy, but not going so well, I guess my dad just put a new steering rack into it and the guy had just bought it for like 5-6k...I'm really hoping this isn't true.

if you get a donor engine/harness from the same body style as the car you're putting it into, it should be almost entirely plug-n-play. if you get your EJ20H out of a BD, you'll be looking at a bunch of wiring, but it'd be easier than most jdm swaps, as everything is on the same side.

I'd recommend getting a whole front cut, if possible. then you'll have the pedal box (hydraulic clutch), trans, crossmember and everything.

but it's definitely the way to go. there was a '99 mail car on craigslist about a week ago for 900 needing a new trans.....I was beyond tempted!
