i got a 98 impreza obs and the rear wheel bearing is making noise

i got as far as unbolting the trailing arm from the body, breaking the brake line going into the wheel cylinder(drum brakes) and finding out that the lateral link bolt is only seized to the rear link bushing(yay?)

spent most of the day bitching at it, i couldnt get the axle out so i didnt even attempt to heat up the bearing to run the slide hammer(which the adapter wasnt even the right size to bolt to a few studs)

my next resort is to drop the rear end to get the axle out, which i dont want to do, but all hope is not quite lost yet as again, it is only seized to the rear link bushing, i havent tried to unbolt it from the chasis yet but i might let my uncle bitch at it for a while instead

so my main question is, can you get the axle stub out without removing the lateral link bolts? the bolt and knuckle can rotate but the bushing just spins in the rear link, the front link sort of sticks, but the bolt ultimately spins in the bushing anyone want to help me?
