you know what I hate? when people post clickthroughs as news. Here is the article. http://carscoop.blogspot.com/2010/0...za-sti-to-debut-at.html?utm_source=feedburner and it's not even a full article. Also, doesn't this belong in the thread we already have for the new Impreza/wrx/sti? All that aside, this is actually pretty cool. I did not like the bubbly one, and it looks like this is based on the sedan.
Well, I'm at work and I can't see the whole article. I didn't want to copy-paste a partial article. Sorry, I guess?
Go to google image search, type in "2010 Impreza WRX sedan"...now imagine it with an 04-07 STi wing on the back, and the fender structure from the 2010 STi hatchback. That's what it'll be. In fact, I think I saw someone had done this already on a WRX sedan.
If it looks anything like this ^^ I will be pretty happy! Can't wait to see it. http://www.autoblog.com/2010/03/22/new-york-preview-subaru-wrx-goes-widebody-for-2011/#continued Or like this with a big wing on it.
It doesnt look large enough to be a sedan to me. Theres something about the distance between the roof and the leading edge of the wing that has me questioning whether it is a sedan or not. http://img.diytrade.com/cdimg/22849..._doors_STI_double_tiers_Spoiler_2007-2009.jpg ? Move the wing down a bit lower and I think thats what we're getting. I really dont see a trunk in the "teaser" picture.
If it turns out to be the Sedan with a wing...its even worse looking than the hatch/wagon with a wing.
post 47. there are other good guesses/comparos in there too http://www.rs25.com/forums/f4/t131643-2011-sti-sedan-back.html
It is here. The new 2011 STI. http://jalopnik.com/5507212/2011-subaru-wrx-sti-four-and-five-doors-of-faux+homologated-fury
http://www.motortrend.com/auto_shows/new_york/2010/1003_2011_subaru_impreza_wrx_sti_sedan/index.html "The Special Edition as it turns out is a preview of sorts of the 2011 STI, which will be available as a hatchback and a sedan for the first time ever in the U.S. It employs the same go-fast JDM Spec C suspension as the Special Edition." Motortrend.
Personally, I still think the hatch looks better. It's good that Subaru is giving people the choice though.
^^ I guess since Subaru is out of WRC...no more rally inspired look designs....it's all about luxury now...
That's true. It is just that the RED WRX feel more exciting than the purplish blue Sti for some reasons.
Moar gaga? Also - I really hope they update the model line with some better colors. Heavy pearlescent red would look really nice on that thing, as would yellow.
I also like the purple. I'm a huge fan of the WRB though. Car looks awesome can't wait to see it out on the streets!
I dunno how i feel yet... gotta see it in person.. i dont know if it looks aggressive enough... i think its more flashy in a different way then like being aggressive and a beast on the streets more of a show car like you would throw some chrome rims on it... eww.. but well see ill have to see it in person! i think itll grow on me just like the EVO X did...
