Great looking ride! I have almost the same picture from when I picked mine up, it was just one space over to the left. That dark grey is a great color.
Bring it out to Calhoun tonight. It's going one of if not the last outdoor Tuesday meets until spring: http://mnsubaru.com/threads/lake-calhoun-fun-in-the-sun-tuesdays.18916/
I wish I would've seen this sooner. I ended up picking up winter wheels/tires, Rally Armor flaps, an extra set of all weather mats, Grimmspeed master cylinder brace, and both the Cobb and STI shift knobs from a buddy last night who recently traded in his '11 SWP WRX for a '11 BMW 135i M Sport.
Finally had time to do a quick photoshoot tonight. I wanted to make sure I captured some photos before I modded it (already added the STI leather and aluminum shift knob and picked up some Rally Armor mud flaps) and before it got covered in bug guts when I drive it to Road America and back this weekend. Hope you guys enjoy the pics!
Well, I managed to put just over 900 miles on the WRX in the first week of ownership. No major issues to report other than my iPod not playing in the car anymore. It reads the track number and I can scroll through all the tracks on there but it won't play anything. Weird. I'm going to make an appointment at the dealership next week to have them look at it and also to get a "free" car wash and I might buy the OEM roof rack while I'm there.
Back when I worked at Morries, it was not a touchless. I'd avoid it if you can. As for the iPod not playing, I've got to ask the stupid question...do you have the volume on your iPod turned up?
Yeah, the volume was the first thing I checked. It was playing just fine one minute and then stopped. At first, I wondered if it encountered a file it couldn't play and froze up but after changing tracks a number of times, unplugging the iPod and plugging it back in, it still won't play. Not sure what the deal is. I'll skip the touchless wash at Morries then if it's not touchless. Thanks for the heads up.
Do you think they take children as trades? I mean, I'm not really down with having kids, nor do I have any. But if they'll take them in exchange for a 135M, I'm sure I could be persuaded to do the deed.
You and me both. Karen may not agree, but I think if I let her drive it she could possibly be persuaded. Possibly.
Yeah, Steph isn't keen on children at all. Something about the whole "parasite growing inside you" thing. But I'm pretty sure a red 135M would make it seem less bad. A new 458 Italia would probably be a no-brainer and we'd be working on that immediately. But again, I'd have to see the contract to be sure it was legit before pulling the trigger.
Anyone know how much an OEM roof rack and kayak holder goes for at Morries Subaru? I tried emailing my sales guy but haven't heard back yet. I might just order one online but want to see if there's a better deal at the dealership since I wouldn't have to pay shipping.
Congrats on the new car! I had the same problem with my ipod not playing. You have to unplug the ipod from the port press play than plug it back in. Ive read on online and it has to do with the USB connection to the HU. Are you using an ipod touch or nano?
I'm using a Nano. I hooked up my GF's iPod Touch over the weekend and that worked fine. When I plugged mine in the next day, it started playing too. Seems kinda finicky if that's really the problem but oh well. I can live with having to unplug and press play every once in awhile.
