So yesterday I finally decided to put in my new exhaust. The items installed were a TurboXS turbo back, and a Grimmspeed up-pipe. All of the pieces where jet-hot coated in extreme sterling.

Some things were a pita, worst of all was the side bolt for the turbo support bracket. I have a whine that shows when I rev now sorta sounds like the sound that the SPT intake made when I had that on? has anyone else noticed increased intake sound when installing TBE and up? For information the only other mod that I am currently running is a silencer delete. I am going to get tuned tonight.

very nice, thats the TBE I'm running. Are you sure teh whining your hearing now when you rev isn't just the turbo spooling?

My 6 cylinder makes 1250 lb/ft of torque.
You're going to hear some more noise with the TBE, it's a thinner pipe with no shielding compared to the stock downpipe. You'll be hearing a lot more of the turbo and wastegate. That's the same exhaust I've got, and I'm extremely happy with mine.

Yeah, my turbo noise opened up a ton with the TXS stealthback as well.

If it sounds like a helicopter under the hood and sounds like it is coming right from your glovebox, it is just wastegate flutter, and completely normal.

I have some serious wastegate flutter, and would kill to get rid of it. I'll start a new thread as to keep from threadjacking.

    Nice lookin tbe!
