I have a 2005 Legacy GT, while driving today it died and now it won't start. It threw a P1572 code Immobilizer Circuit Failure (Except Antenna). Do i need to take it to the dealership or is there a trick to getting around this?

For a reprogram of the chip in the key yes.

Have you done any mods to the car? Jc

Accessport? Anything done recently before this? Just thought I'd ask for more info.

Enough to know that the best solution for the OP involves a gas can and road flares :dead:

The code must have been a fluke. i disconnected the battery for 20 min, then hooked it back up. It took a little while for it to start. And when it does start all i hear is rod knock(pretty sure). It sounds really really awful.

You sure? How's your oil level? Oil screens still intact? Post a video if you can.
