It feels like I'm moving kind of quickly on the Stage 2 tune of my car, since it's a 2010 with 4k miles on it, but I wanted to get people's impressions on the Perrin Stage 2 setup.

I was originally looking at a Cobb SS 3" downpipe and an SPT 3" Catback, but the price tag on a Perrin is almost too good to pass up. With that said, is the Perrin too good to be true? Has anyone had any experience with this system? Is it too loud? Much louder than stock? Does it fit well? Have you (or anyone you know) had any problems with it?

    Cheers. -JH

My bad. Yes, it's a 2010 STi. I still haven't figured out how to put what I drive underneath my Avatar. Shows how much time I have to dedicate to details these days, I suppose.

I'll check NASIOC, but I thought I'd try here first because environmental/road/legal conditions in Minnesota are always a little different from other states. Anyone who owns a 2008+ should be able to tell me what they think about this setup (if they've had one), but maybe I've overestimated the number of 2008+ drivers on here?

I'll also check iwsti, but if anyone has any ideas/thoughts I'd like to hear them.

I've got a perrin catback on my LGT, and I like it a lot. Great fitament, looks sharp and very well made. Since the car is currently catless it's loud as hell, and drones obnoxiously on the highway. Silencers or getting it catted again will help tremendously.

You're just talking about the Perrin exhaust, correct? A full TBE or just a cat/axleback?

Sounds loud! Although admittedly, I like non-droney exhaust.

Oh god, that boxer gurgle gets me all tingly in los pantalones! I'm gonna go find a video for the SPT exhaust, if I can find one. The Perrin does sound a little louder than I would like, but I have to admit...that is one sexy idle-tone.

Oh, and I'm talking about a TBE. Downpipe + Exhaust. Could be a Cobb downpipe plus an SPT exhaust, or a straight-up Perrin TBE. How come? Thoughts on that?
