Hope I don't blow a motor! Then maybe install some sway bars, tint, and a tune. Then bring it for a full detail.

I have already been busy fixing the car. Already fixed the spark plugs, a bunch of vacuum leaks, the oil fill tube was leaking, did a compression test, fixed the e-brake and the brembo bolt I broke taking it apart, fixed the trunk pressure vent, fixed some leaks in the tail light.

My weekend will consist of replacing an o-ring on the PS pump, putting new clamps on the PS hoses, flushing the PS fluid, putting some longer exhaust hangers on, putting in a new radiator, fixing the oil leak on the oil cooler, and maybe change the oil and tranny fluid. We shall see where my weekend leads, hopefully I can get on the hoist at our shop.

When yer fixing the leak on the oil cooler, do yourself a favor and replace ALL the o rings that go on it. There's 4 or 5. 2 orange, one blue, and 1 or 2 smaller black ones. Trust me, I had to do it on my car (06 wrx) and ended up doin it 3 times, once because the dealer gave me the wrong, and twice because I diagnosed the wrong one to be causing the leak. Total its around $20 for all of them.

Tokico dspecs with stock 02 wrx wagon springs waiting to go on. Along with paranoid fab rear spacers. Also, got a stock sti exhaust waiting. Can't wait to put it on the Forester. Also, tint and rims...maybe depending on the cash flow.

Brat: EJ18 and Dual-range 4.444 5MT swap should be done by summer. Swap to EA82 front suspension for wider track and better axles. 29" Super swampers on Toyota alloy wheels (have the wheels).

XT6: If it doesn't sell. Do something. maybe fix part of it, possibly 5-speed swap, maybe rallyx it, maybe just continue using it as a shelf and neglecting it.

SVX: Continue selling parts until there's nothing left, then buy more parts, and put them in a different project, which may or may not start this summer.

Get some coilovers and my summer wheels are at my dad's shop for a fresh powdercoat job, my wheels will be something nobody has done yet. My dad has had them since Christmas and is figuring out how to do the process needed to get the finished product that I want.

    1. Suspension: WL sways, Cusco rear tower brace, WL steering rack bushings.

    2. Engine: Group-N mounts, Perrin turbo blanket, Killer B oil pan, baffle and pick-up. Look into Morosso Accumulators.

    3. Gauges: oil pressure/temp

    4. Brakes: ss brake lines & super blue fluid.

    5. Cosmetic: Killer be radiator/alternator shroud

Already got this year: Kartboy endlinks, Perrin shifter adapter/bushings, Group-N trans mount, TiC crossmember bushings.

    Hopefully this will be all.

    1. get a new bumper and have bumper and new fender painted as well as the holes in the trunk patched.

    2. get an open tune from nuke sometime around the beginning of summer time.

    3. get all new swaysbars and links all the way around

4.put all new brake hardware in as well as flush the brake lines. while doing this id love to get the 10 layers of paint off the caliper and repaint them

    5. find a nice set of summer wheels

    6. tint and sti seats would be the last thing i want for now.

that would complete my daily driver and make me :D until i find more that i want.

Your Welcome, it's a good way to see what other people are planning on doing and at the end of the year ask if they accomplished it or failed

I say Option C: You did say you came from California right? If so, use $ on gas and explore the great state of Minnesota:)

    1. Track it

    2. Autox it

    3. Road rally it

    4. Not blow it up.

    5. If #4 fails...then build it!

Noisy PS pump in your GR STi eh? Ha I'm plagued by the same issue and its sounds like we did the same research...apparently replacing the O-ring on the top of the pump and replacing the fluid magically solves the issue.

I've been meaning to do this, but I haven't had time yet and I leave tomorrow and will be gone until next weekend. If you get this done on your car before next weekend, I'd be curious to hear the result! If you were closer, I'd suggest we both work on it and knock it out. Anyway, let me know if the new o-ring and flush make the pump noise go away!

Nope, PS Pump issues are on my GD STi. My GR(wrx) is brand new, it'd be at the dealer if it was making noises, lol!

I flushed the fluid, swapped the spring clamps to hose clamps, and replaced the upper o-ring. Seems a little better. I still have an external leak on the pump, so i guess it will need to come out.

Ah I see, I thought your GR was a WRX, and then I saw your posts about an STi...so I was thinking you either traded up or had both GR's. Anyway, glad to hear it helped a little bit. I just need to take the time to do the work on my car and see where it stands.

I just put a Magnaflow muffler in place of the stock one. Gives it a nice deep tone, and doesn't sound all ricey.

    1. Stay on top of maintenance.

    2. Fail a compression test and decide it's time to stop throwing money at it.
