I just got a pioneer headunit to replace the stock one on my 09 WRX. I'm debating install it myself or just make it easy to go to a shop. This is my first car audio project so I have no idea where to look for a good/trusted installer. Please recommend a place if you know of.

    Thanks much! :)

I agree, it's much easier than you may think. I'm guessing shops may hose you on install price if you didn't purchase from them....maybe?

I also agree. Get the wire harness and mounting bracket from BB, a couple zip ties to clean up the wires and you're good to go. It shouldn't take you more than an hour if you really take your time.

You will need the wire harness adapter, antenna adapter and the dash kit. After that it is smooth sailing. I am on the east side of the loop, so if that works out for ya, I can help you install it.
