Alright some of you may know I'm having a new short block put into my STi. I'm currently looking at some investments and improvements.

#1 a new turbo, the current one is stock or I'm assuming its stock.
What would be the best one to get? I'm seeing ones from 500$ to $2000. I'm thinking of upgrading and would spend around 1000$ but, if its worth spending more I'd like to know what and why.

#2 replacing the clutch or getting a new one current one looks stock, and maybe could be replaced. But could prob go another 40-50k if I shift well and if I would need one to go to the power I currently would want.

#3 TGV Delete possibly or other things alike.

    Some goals I'm looking into:

    Hit 400-450 WHP

The new shortblock im using is the built one from project sonic so I know I should be able to push this no problem.

Here is some of the progress

I had the hta68 on my 2.5 hybrid. I loved the fast spool and it held well at 25 pounds. It's reasonably priced but probably wouldn't hit your goal for hp.

For your turbo, Precision PTE5557. Get the small cover and it'll fit in stock location. Run the biggest top mount (AMR???) you can get and some 1000cc injectors. On pump gas you should see 425whp or so, go to the corn whiskey and you can get up to around 500whp.

Friend of mine is running this setup on his stock 06 STi longblock (heads have NEVER been off) on e85. 503awhp for the last year.

That 20 gxt R should do you just fine. My 18gxt is SAID to get 430 crank hp. That's plenty for me. I do understand that more must go into for that goal. Not looking for that goal though.

Ok, not to thread jack, why spend the extra 300$ for another 10 hp? Are we talking spool and top end speed?

Most solenoid are mac solenoid. No issues tuning if tuner can adjust
