Right on. Were going to need to have a mnsubaru shiba owners meet. Tonie and brian also have multiple shibas. Were thinking about fostering another but not sure the cat can take the "stress" lol
You think kids in spanish speaking countries and Japan name their cat "cat." Neko and gato seem to be really popular names. Reminds me of a dude I knew growing up named Chico. He joked about naming his son Boy.
that would be fun to have a big shiba get together.. my big cat runs the house lol.. my little shiba has an attitude when shes around other dogs her size.. sometimes shes good and plays, other times she takes little nipps at the other dogs. My big one loves everything and everyone.
Went on a walk today over my lunch break. I decided to take a longer route.... the dogs were ready to quit 3/4 of the way home. They found this shade and ... well.... the picture says it all.
Had to sell my 1yr old Brown Pit Bull, because rental home won't allow it....dog racist i had him since a little puppy! so i'm left with my 90gal of cichlids; Ahlis, Zebra and Peacocks
Here is one of our cats Stella. She just turned a year old a couple months ago and is super sweet. Actually... we need some help. My girlfriend and I just graduated and we are between places. We need someone to foster stella for a couple months until we find an apartment. (Oct.) You will def. be reimbursed for your time and trouble and we would visit and help clean when our schedules allow. You guys seem to be animal lovers and we really need someone who loves cats to help us out here
Here's my mutt, his name is Ralphie and he's a Chocolate Lab/Mix... And post-op...he just had a deep bacterial infection removed
Inside cat, but I let her out on occasion for an hour or so. Other animals as in? She isnt use to dogs, but has been around other cats.
Nothing new to share but it's a lazy afternoon around here so I grabbed a couple pics of the dogs. We even found a great piece of corn to play with!
Typical Sunday. GF in bed watching football while folding laundry... leaves for a minute and then... Bored Saturday night and decided to build lefty a cat tree since all the store bought one's don't come in OMFGodzillaCat size
He's getting to be my big boy now! And thanks, they look better than they act sometimes. It's pretty clear by the pics in this thread that the animals run the show when they want to. What a great little world they live in.
Anyone here go to the Elm Creek dog park? I'm there a lot and see/hear a lot of wrx/STi's around but it looked like most of them are headed to the bike trails.
Yep This is the reason her name is Mable. I am a Goldfinger Fanatic, I was trying o figure out a name and this song came on in he car. My wife said HELL YEAH !!
Right on, I figure that or something weird like she was named after your/her grandma. We had a similar conversation driving Ollie home from the breeder. "no we aren't going to name him after your favorite whisky. let's just name him after the next song that comes on the radio" "U2? Sunday bloody sunday? Really? This song sucks my balls, you really want to name him Tampon?" "that's so inappropriate, you're not allowed to name our dog" "I had a buddy in hs with a dog named Kickflip. coolest dog ever. how about Ollie." If we ever decide to have a kid I imagine we'll have the exact same conversation.
We also have a Westie, I got creative with him. His name is Charlie Bucket after the kid from Willy Wonka. I name all the pets and kids...hahaha!!
Here's Baby D (Diego) a couple years ago as a kitten. Coolest cat i've ever had. Here's a kitty bonfire from a few years ago too. Had too put the black cat Boo down as he had liver disease .
Lmfao nice "bonfire" pic. Cats are weird. Ill cry like a little bitch when my catdies. Pretty sure ill get all emo then hulk smashy when my dogs die.
Diego looks just like jake when he was little. Do you know kind of cat he is? It must be something about long hair cats cause jake is the coolest cat I've ever known.
We've narrowed him down to being primarily a Norwegian Forest Cat. Ironically I had another long haired all white with blue eyes cat growing up that was awesome also. All the information I've read up on them has said they are very smart and friendly. Diego plays fetch! He's like having a baby tiger at all times. Haha
Its like your describing jack I'm 99% sure he's a Norwegian Forest Cat. He loves to play fetch and he's way to smart for his own good.
Good looking cat! Looks very similar to one of the neighbors cats who keeps coming on the back deck and looking at our cats through the door pane. haha
I'm 99% sure you're making that name up. Great looking cat for sure! Looks a lot like my sister's cat Cleo.
The Norwegian Forest Cat is a breed of domestic cat native to Northern Europe, and adapted to a very cold climate, with top coat of glossy, long, water-shedding hairs, and a woolly undercoat for insulation. Although this is uncertain, the breed's ancestors may have been short-haired cats brought to Norway by the Vikings around 1000 AD, and may also have included the long-haired Siberian and Turkish Angora. During World War II, the breed became nearly extinct until efforts by the Norwegian Forest Cat Club helped the breed by creating an official breeding program. It was not registered as a breed with the European Fédération Internationale Féline until the 1970s, when a local cat fancier, Carl-Fredrik Nordane, took notice of the breed and made efforts to register it. Currently, the Norwegian Forest Cat is very popular in Norway, Sweden, Iceland and France. It is a big, strong cat, similar to the Maine Coon breed, with long legs, a bushy tail and a sturdy body. The breed is very good at climbing, since they have strong claws. The lifespan is usually 14 to 16 years, though kidney and heart diseases have been reported in the breed. Specifically in this breed, complex rearrangements of glycogen branching enzyme (GBE1) can cause a perinatal hypoglycaemic collapse and a late-juvenile-onset neuromuscular degeneration in glycogen
