He is 12 weeks old. We had been looking at rescue shibas for the last year or so but ended up getting him from a breeder in WI.
Rescued this girl when she was the size of a quarter. She should be big enough next spring to have a fighting chance when I release her.

We'd been talking about finding a shiba inu for a few years, ended up with a cat first (2 years ago), and started looking for a companion for the cat last year.
lol true. Ollie weighed in at 9.4lbs at the vet this morning. Lefty is close to double that. He's definitely stronger too. This puppy's kinda a wimp right now The puppy didn't even notice the cat until today (he's been hiding like a little bitch), so the socializing process may take a little while. In the meantime I'm sure the cat is plotting some evil scheme.
isn't Lefty (Goo-zirra cat) always plotting something evil? I think that cat could take down a small deer if it wanted to.

Great looking mastiff! Where did you get her from? I've got a 5 yr old Cane Corso, on the lighter side but with all the mannerisms that come with mastiffs.
To the other dog owners. Do your dogs sleep in bed with you? My HAS to be between my wife and I, we are fine with it just curious if others have clingy dogs. Actually she is on my lap right now making typing rather difficult. btw a 68 lb boxer is not a lap dog.
We got her from an Amish family in Iowa, of all places. She came with papers and everything. We got a decent deal on her. We originally rescued a dog from up north and we were told it was a Cane Corso, but we dont think she is purebred. She is one of the most well behaved, tame dogs that we have owned. We wish we could figure out what she is! :laugh:
Hard to find a "deal" of any kind on mastiffs, great find! Your Corso definitely has some Corso features and from your description sounds just like my Corso, loves everyone and loved by all. And is one hell of a guard dog at the same time. I got my Corso from Gratitutde Farms in East Bethel, MN.
This is our new dog Bella. She is a little over a year old and we just got her about a month or so ago from the Humane Society. She is an English pointer mix. Great dog. She loves people, pets, everything pretty much. Except for being in a kennel and cameras.
They sell dna testing kits at Petsmart for like $60 if you really want to be 100% sure what it is (And if you are in the cities and come to the one in maple grove I might be able to get you a discount )
Not far off from mine actually. My Corso has topped out at around 85-90 lbs. Corso's range from 80-140 with females being on the lighter side so her weight is within what a Corso female could be. I always have people telling me that she's small for a mastiff :laugh:

My cat Yuki thinks he's human. He's looks like he's trying to sit in my chair just like me. He's so awesome. I love this goofy cat.
This is Maryanne, she is part ****zu, part ewok. We fostered her for a while, and are adopting her now. Edit: Apparently she is part ewok, part profanity. Haha
