Did you read the FSM on the clutch bleeding procedure? Its fairly specific. I prob went through a whole thing of fluid before I looked at it it and went, doh!
self-bleeding clutch  that's happened to me when i did bill's tranny, couldn't figure out why i had no pedal feel, but that was because i was bleeding it the old way. so we called mike wray and he said just keep pumping the pedal and after some normal driving it will bleed itself out
^ True. I had to bleed the hell out of mine to get it decent, then a few days later it was nice and firm. Justin, the FSM says to slowly depress the clutch pedal to build up pressure. I noticed why; its because you aerate the fluid so you don't get much of the actual air out, since its all foamy.
soo... crack the bleeder valve, slowly depress the pedal all the way to the floor and hold, tighten back up the bleeder valve ??
slowly depress the clutch but leave the bleeder tight i otherwise it doesn't allow the system to bleed itself
i had an issue because we flared the fenders so the stock fender liners didnt fit anymore and with all the ice racing we are doing i need to keep everything clean(wiring, engine bay, etc). BEFORE AFTER Justin
That looks awesome! I will have to do that once i flare my fenders alittle more. how long did it take to cut everything out?
hmm, probably took 2 hours from start to finish as far as cutting. thanks nick! next time i take them off you can copy them if you want.
now for bringing the cold air to that new engine... i'm not exactly sure how i'm going to reroute it when i get the frount mount in but i'm going to have to move it somewhere because right now its right where the passenger side intercooler end tank will sit. Justin
lmfao, caus the intercooler piping/end tank will be right there... why not just make a duct/intake from your hood scoop if you are running a FMIC anyways?
got her weighed today...any guesses?? i was not in the car and there was ~1/2 tank of gas, 30lb set of tools, and a fully inflated wrx wheel as a spare in the car. full interior as well and this is the LX impreza so it has power windows and power doors.
2300lbs lol i wish...this isnt a civic hatch both of you are low. remember there is about 70lbs of extra crap in the car
I am gonna guess 2825. the wrx dash/engine/xmember/exhuast are heavier than the stock LX counter parts. so the weight will be up alittle.
answer is 2810. which is great cause my goal was to keep her around 2700 so if you take out the ~70lbs of crap i had in my car i'm looking at 2740.
Car looks too skinny, I think you will want to add a few more calories. LOL That's going to be a serious factor. So who are you having your suspension setup and weights done?
not sure yet actually. i called and chat'd with that jeff the alignment guy...not so sure about him though. you have any recommendations?
I have not personally had mine professionally done as of yet, but I am planning to take my new ride to Orr's Autosports. They seem to know what they are doing and are very competitive in what I do. I dont know how far you're planning on going with this car, and what forum of motorsports your inspired to do but it may be worth while doing it just for the experience. I'm sure you know you'll need more than just an alignment if you want to be competitive, the whole geometry and balance will play a important roll as will a highly qualified driver. Which means getting your rear out to AZ and attend Bondarant Racing School for a few days. LOL Best of luck bro, looks like an exciting year for the us both.
Jeff does some corner-weighting work in addition to alignments. I haven't had any work done by him, but it definitely looks like he's worked on some cool stuff, and the AutoX guys all love him. http://www.thealignmentguy.com/page3.htm
