That's for americans. For foreigners, freedom of speech means being able to say what you want without criticism or fear of retort. Also, if you get banned for being an ignorant and intolerant ass, it is because the admins are narrow minded and ignorant and hate free speech. The other cool thing about owning your own website, you can ban anyone for any reason that you want. If they say ignorant and closed minded things, they can be banned for it...and it has nothing to do with free speech. Awesome huh? Which is why Taras is banned from posting or even seeing t3hw00t.com right now. Because I want everyone to speak freely about him without having to worry about him coming in and posting his feeble defense. And because the disease he has infected this site with is something I don't want on my site. We <3 intelligent conversation and differing viewpoints.

Not every nursing home is like that, in fact very few nursing homes are like that. You have no idea what kind of overwatch is in place for patients in a facility like that to ensure that those things don't happen. I didn't have to get my news from Fox (although you could try falling back on something else to try and insult me with. That one doesn't really do anything for me and it's getting a bit old), instead I got it in the REAL WORLD. You know, that silly thing that you haven't really been introduced to yet. My father has worked in nursing homes for the last 25 years in administration and dietary managing roles. I've spent plenty of time in plenty of facilities firsthand helping him serve food and I've spent time with the residents there. I've seen what kind of safeguards are in place for patient care. And I also know how hard it is on the staff members when someone dies, which is a certainty. Yes, the staff members get attached to the people they care for, they share their joys and their sorrows. You have no idea how difficult a job like that is, and they do it every day. I've been on rescue calls where I've found nurses crying after they've done CPR because it's a patient they were close to. What have you done other than look for some story that really doesn't have much to do with the current discussion? And then you tell Tom, who has gone through one of the most painful things a person can do and has (unfortunately) more experience with care facilities than most of us on the site to STFU because you don't like what he said, nevermind the fact that you just slapped him in the face over this. This may be the truest statement I've ever seen you make. You're right, your parents didn't "hold your hand". They failed you by teaching you the difference between a sound investment and a bad decision. I do applaud their thinking, but they could've given you a little better foundation. They threw money at you so you had no idea what it means to have to actually earn it, and they didn't give you any guidance on how to spend said money. Double whammy. Good luck with that. I honestly don't mind him. Sure, he doesn't get the point that he should shut up after a certain amount of hole digging, but you guys buy into his crap so much and basically keep enticing a response out of him half the time.
I think he'd be ok if he didn't have to post in almost every single thread about things that he really has no business giving advice on.
