I went to install this brace and ran into several problems. first, the brake line for the front brakes was HARD up against the bracket, but I was able to bend it out of the way. Then once it was in place I had problems with the fuel filter, I do not think that I can get around these? Is my car that different (MY03 WRX sedan)? See pictures, if mounted my filter would sit about 1.5 inches further up, possibly rubbing on my hood.

notice in the above picture the contact of the brake line was enough to "scratch" the bracket, in the pictures below notice the fuel filter is blocked from it's location by the bracket. anybody have any advice?

do you have a recommended angle and or location for a pic or are you saying that my pics are fuzzy?

Hrm, can't be of much help other then to say that mine fit fine on my 06 WRX, but the 2.5L and airpump make everything much different.

The pictures help a bit, but they're not great, although it's probably hard to get good pictures of that spot. Sure you're using the correct mounting holes? I know my brace had multiple holes drilled in it for what I can assume would be different mounting spots on different cars. I just put mine on where it fit :).

it does seem hard to get pictures, there were exactly 3 holes to mount to on the car, and there were multiple clearance holes on the bracket, if I mounted the bracket lower it probably would not hit the master cyl at all? I am not sure how to make this clearer, I will try to take pics of the bracket to illustrate.

I moved the bracket up for the filter, I'm not really liking the level that the filter sits at now. In the last pic you can see that I had to back the fuel line up a little to get relief for the filter.

Well, I don't have a 2.0L WRX to reference, but here's some pics of mine. I completely removed two brackets (pics below) that held the fuel lines in place.
