    do you know if the all the models have the same mani/tgv gasket layout? i thought i read somewhere that the RS's both old and new have the same layout.

    Ya know, I have access to a thermo imaging camera, anytime I want to use one.... May be aweful helpful in proving a lot of heat claims...

    nope not the same, different across the board, 1.8 2.2 and DOHC are the same 2.5 SOHC are different, i think phaze 2 2.2s are the same as the 2.5 SOHC

    so to get this straight...

    1.8 = 2.2 phase 1 = DOHC

    2.5 SOHC = 2.2 phase 2

    Yeah, I would assume similar issues as with the TBS. You'll need to find different test beds to get sizing, or at the very least, get all gasket types from Subaru to make templates for each size and series of motor.

    With people wanting a thicker spacer and with even the concerns over stipping with your current spacer, you might consider selling the kit with extended bolts just to keep everything safe as well as allow you to test/run different spacer thicknesses, not only for thermal isolation but also its effect on the powerband from extending the intake track length. It's something to think about anyways.

    thats idling temp. i wonder what the motor gets up to well its getting pounded, ya know like pounded to the point where the exhuast manifold is GLOWING. thats what really matters.

    i would also be down for testing product on phase 1 2.2l.

    negative...we rev'd it real high on the freeway and the higest it got was after we beat on it and let it sit for a second.

    there is a max temp feature on the thermocoupler and we had it reading the entire time..idllng, beating on it, etc

    a couple pics. one showing it on the car...they are the same layout as the gasket so it will match up perfectly. another showing that there are enough threads left to tighten it down nicely.

    i'm thinking 59.99 for the spacers
    and 9.50/set of Subaru OEM gaskets(encouraged to use new gaskets)

    Test them on the dyno!!

    Which grade of phenolic is this? I have a spacer on the stealth, works great for keeping the intake manifold somewhat manageable to the touch. NO gaskets needed in my case.
