can u lift the tranny out at the same time? Seems to me that you would just take that off first. But, then again, I've never pulled a motor before. Bump.

You can pretty much use any bolt/hole combination you want as long as the bolt has enough threads in the block and the load balances out. In short any where as long as you are careful.

tranni should go with the motor. Im not looking at the motor right now but I'd think if you used the pitch stop mount and the existing brackets for the motor mounts that would be pretty solid.

Try calling grimmspeed or tonka suby if you need a fast answer.

and by pitch stop mount I mean take the pitch stop out and put the bolt back in. Then loop your chain or strap through that bolt.

I tend to NOT pull them out as a whole just because the WHOLE is pretty heavy. If you bolt it onto the wrong spot, it may strip the threads or a piece of the tranny/engine may chip/break off. But that's just me.

Intake mani, tranny pitch mount bolt hole (you might bend the bracket).

ok hear ya go a quick write up for yeah. take the manifold off its just easier. i use the bolt hole for the turbo bracket and the bracket between the ac and alt. going across that way balances it. don't pull them out together there is no need if there is nothing wrong with the trans. start by taking the starter off. behind the starter there will be a Allen bolt cap. take that out. inside of that you will have have to thread a bolt in there just hand tight and then pull on that bolt you just threaded in there to pull out the clutch fork dowel. once that is out wiggle the fork up to get it loose from the clutch. then get the rest of the bolts around the bell housing out and un bolt the pitch stop.t hen jack the trans up with a jack at the same tame to jack the motor up. only jack them up tell the motor mount studs are clear and then separate them and pull the motor out.
