Questions on Buying a 2.5 Short Block

    If I were to buy a preassembled shortblock for an older STi directly from subaru would it have ringland issues?

    I'm lost, why would a fresh shortblock have ring land issues?

    I would replace those pistons while its fresh

    Is it neccessary? How long would you estimate it will last stock/stage2 tune? What would the cost be?

    Not necessary, but I would recommend. 500ish average for pistons. Stock/stage two? It CAN last a while...
