I'm planning to install new endlinks tomorrow. I know it's easy, and I know it's quick. Yes, I used the search function but couldn't find anything. My Q:

Do I need to put the car on jackstands for this (don't have them), or will ramps work just fine? In other words, should the suspension be under load when I take the stock ones off and put the new ones on?

In case it matters, I have an '04 WRX wagon.

You'll want to be able to manipulate the suspension a bit - possibly lower one side, possibly raise one. A simple jack should do the trick.

Sways are supposed to be/easiest to install when the car is on its own weight.

installed my endlinks with my car on the ground, with no jacks or ramps. easy stuff ramps might be easier to crawl under the car depending if your car is lowered or not.

Awesome. Knew I could count on you guys for quick responses. :-D

My car is lowered 1.25" all around, so I'm thinkin' ramps to start. If I run into big problems, there's always the jack in the trunk.

I think ramps are easier, because the suspension is loaded and the endlinks are ligned up at they should be. They can be a pain with the suspension at full droop. Sometimes....

You want the suspension loaded for sure. Ramps are a-ok. Jackstands - not so much.
