I got around to breaking the heel of my foot yesterday. Out of work and off of my feet for 6 weeks or so. Good times! PSA:foot pic below. May not be SFW. Lolol
Oh Dude...that's not good. I hope you aren't in the middle of a major project that needs to be completed by a certain date. I need to ask how that happened. My brother was over reaching while on a ladder (inside the house) and it started sliding so he jumped off and broke both heels when he landed. That puts a terrible damper on life and makes everything so much harder. You have my sympathies.
Well, funny story. I was going to hook up the laundry utility sink and one of the fittings ruptured. I then took off full speed to the basement to shut off the water main. I made the decision whilst running through the main level to jump down the stairs to shave a second off of my lap time. That decision proved fatal. As soon as I landed I knew it was broken. I had to then hop and crawl my way to the shut off. I did manage to get the water off and then crawl back up the stairs to get to my phone, and the frozen green beans and peas. Laid on the floor soaking wet trying to calm my breathing down as the seething pain made its way from my heel through my teeth. Lol. Called the wife and then the neighbor to haul me away to Regions, where I got to hang out and crack punny jokes with the staff for 7 hrs.(ie: “so what are the next STEPS doc?”. And the “we’ll just take it one step at a time.”) And Mark, I am indeed in the middle of a bath remodel. My brother in law is going to take care of it for me though, so I’m counting my blessings!
He said to “stay off of it as much as possible.” I told him, “I’ll cancel my Saturday evening Zumba class.”
Was this at your house, or a client's? Bold to go in their freezer looking for ice pack options, but understandable. Laundry tub...LOL. We had a laundry tub installed in the garage next to the mechanical room (no basement here), and the plumber used those cheap-a$$ hard plastic supply lines. One day I heard a noise and it took me a couple minutes to realize what happened - the tube blew out of the compression fitting on the shut-off valve under the sink and was spewing water all over the finished garage and the stuff stored next to the sink. I installed SS braided, flexible supply lines the next day. What's that saying, penny wise, dollar foolish? The key to a shorter emergency room wait is to go in with anything related to your heart. Ask me how I know. What would have been a 4+ hour wait was turned into an immediate jump to the front of the line when mentioning a-fib symptoms. My wife always says I'm nervous when I start joking during any medical encounter. I just feel the need to relieve any tension in the room...I like the people treating me to be relaxed and unstressed. Best wishes with the recovery and thanks for making my day feel not as bad as yours.
The BRZ is outside right now because of the water damage in the garage. I pulled it out but won’t be able to put it back. I’ll have to have the neighbor pull it in once the garage is ready
Long story short, I've wanted to replace our mailbox since we bought the house (6 years ago). I finally got the new box put up this week...
Was kicking around something like that but didn't think of doing just the last name. Luckily it's just vinyl so can always change it up.
Before the accusations fly, no, that is not my car... Although I am a little jealous. The one question I have is what's the red thing on the right can?
Probably a red flag for the "load" extending past the rear of the vehicle. Or he hit a Harley rider and his doo rag (or "durag" per the interwebs) got caught on the trash can.
I did! Bought the basket for the front for snacks. Got the foam pad extension which doubles the thickness of the memory foam. Hahaha
