every year the week of christmas I go to st. cloud. And literally EVERY year there is roughly 10-15 cars between plymouth and st. cloud. The roads are not that bad, just drive for the conditions, and feel the road

I usually consider having to brake on the highway a minor fail. Incorporated that into the increase MPG/ decrease paint swapping game.
can I add a #6 to the above,
#6 Under no circumstances, leave the right lane. Unless you plan on driving equally as slow in the left.

    Well said.
I'd like to also gripe about morons not cleaning off their cars before driving. That includes your roof and mainly your windows and lights. Seriously dumb people.

Oh and uh please turn your f*cking lights on when it's very low visibility as it is today. Damn, that pisses me off. Ahhh. You'd think it's pretty common sense, but apparently some people were born with a fraction of the brain power as others. Unbelievable.
    I'm done now. kthxbye

WTH? You don't like a giant clump of snow falling off the car in front of you while going 50?

Well, I said F-it and when out on my summers. I'm actually fairly impressed with how well they handle the snow. But now I will be more motivated to fix the fuel leak and get my snows on :)

Yes I have so many driver aids I've forgotten how to start up my car, but I can manage to update my current status in Facebook.

Now if we could all just work from home we could avoid all this nonsense and live a little longer.

i got some complaints of my own, two of which are the most bothersome and sadly not even snow related

    1) People in the fast lane doing 2-3mph over the speed limit or the speed limit and are all proud of themselves, they will never move over to the right. the fast lane here is considered just another cruise lane.

    2) the amazing skill of tying up all possible lanes with vehicles all doing the same speed all right next to eachother so you can't even pass in the right. i honestly have never seen this **** anywhere else in my life, and the only thing i can attribue this to is the farming background where you would have combines driving next to eachother as you plow the field. MN really shines in this.

The "fast lane" in Minnesota is the far right lane. Most people that weren't born here aren't aware of this rarity. I was one of the lucky ones that was informed by a homegrown Minnesotan.

    Cliffs:
    Fast lane=far right
    slow lane=far left

    Scratch one off your list!;)

The mistake is calling it the "fast lane." It's supposed to be the "passing lane." I remember seeing a license plate frame once that I wanted so badly, it said "Drive RIGHT, Pass LEFT" I really want one of those scrolling LED things in my rear window with pre-programmed messages like "You aren't PASSING anyone so why are you in the PASSING lane?"

Usually when I'm driving an emergency vehicle I'm using whatever lane is least blocked. I find that the "Moses" method works really well, take the center and it lets cars jump off on either side rather than trying to get everyone over to the right side of the road on a divided highway. Tends to be less disruptive of traffic and safer since I have an out to either side. Airhorns and LED light packages are wonderful things to have.

Fact is... I need the snow on account of being an automatic 2.2l, lol. I can't even bust the wheels loose on wet pavement.

People with summers are worked up over nothing. You will have to drive in this so called snow for one day. It will all disappear the next day. Our weather man haven't made a real accurate weather forecast yet this winter.

You just have to be patient about this weather. I usually hold out for a bit until late april or early may. Even when the weather is right and there is no more snow, I still worry about all those damn pot holes that magically appear. I can not afford to damage my summer wheels. Not because they are nice wheels but because the wife will kill me for damaging expensive wheels that I did not need because all I wanted them for was to be flashy.

Maybe you idiots should go do a beginner avoidance driving class. I drove a heavily modded Subaru on summer tires for 4 years worth of winters. I even showed up to an ice race on summer tires. If a springtime snow shower has you soiling your pants in fear, maybe you should just take the bus to work and stop endangering everyone else on the road with your frightened twitch driving. Every year a handful of you wet yourself about a morning commute on what amounts to wet pavement. Get over it, you can take a break from flat footing for a day.

^lmao. This is why my snowtires stay on the car until the low temps are around 40 degrees consistently.

    Also, snow cone bowling FTW!

From my understanding winter tires perform best in 40 degree and under temps so that probably a smart move on your part.

Given the amount of time it takes to swap from summer to snow, I find it pretty stupid to not swap. Sorry this isn't a pissing contest. No one cares how cool you think you are if you can use the wrong equipment for driving. It's just common sense. No tread, the wrong compound and snow or ice don't work. I didn't think the snow was going to stick around but I swapped anyways. I was surprised to see ice on the ground this morning.
