Recommend replacement speakers for 07 WRX

I used my stereo my wrx for the first time yesterday and realized some of my speakers are blown or have some other issue. I would like to keep my factory 6 cd headunit if possible.

I haven't replaced car speakers since the mid 2000s, what are the go to brands these days?

 

I personally like either alpine or kicker.

 

Does the 07 have the same weird screw pattern as the 02s? I had to make my own adapters to make any after market speaker work. It also depends on the trim level because my new bugeye had factory spacers and better speakers.

 

I haven't checked yet but both my 99 and 05 had a standardish 3 screw adapter plate to 4 screw or 3 screw speaker

 

I understand JL audio is some top of the line stuff if sound quality is what youre looking for.
