yeah, the diffrence between my oiled K&N high flow and a stock paper filter is about 75whp.:eek3: na...kidding, it's like .00000005 increase in horsepower at higher rpms....maybe. plus the extra cost in buying one for 35+ dollars AND having to clean it. go stock
You can The Perrin foam one worked great, but was greasier than a fry cook's face. The K&N one was nice too, no problems with that, but when cleaning, remember not to oil it too much. I had both of those but now I have an intake
Sounds good! Slappin that bad boy back on and using the injen cold air for and ice scraper for my driveway this winter
Not to mention that the K&N's are proven to remove less particles from the air. Which is, of course, the purpose of having an air filter in the first place. Full test results here: http://duramax-diesel.com/spicer/index.htm
Amen. Foam filters are the worst. Oiled cotton gauze (ala K&N) are a close second worst. I have one on my rallycross car, but only because I had to redo the setup to get the air intake up high. The stock air intake on a B13 Sentra could hardly have been better designed to scoop up water. Funny thig is, a SR20DE with a cracked block, cracked head, one shattered connecting rod and a bunch of bent valves will actually still run! (from personal experience)
