I ended up buying a fairly nice and original 97 tercel greenhawk with factory powersteering and a/c. However it's an automatic with a spun bearing that i may or may not be able to save. If i go the replacement route, I'm thinking of swapping the 6 speed blacktop 4age into it. Does anyone recommend any specific jdm engine vendors (or ones to avoid?)
I opted to just buy on eBay. With their feedback system, it's pretty easy to see how their past sales have gone, and you still have leverage after the sale, as a negative review looks very bad (vs a direct sale where they can ghost you with no consequences). I also payed with a credit card through Paypal, which gave me 2 options to dispute the charge.
I'm just amazed by the car's condition, did this thing spend its whole life in Arizona or did someone just really love that car?
