Looks great! How'd you cut the masking tape?

I got all the stuff to do this and then chickened out when it came to cutting the masking tape, so I ended up going with overlays.

LOL SAME HERE. I got the paint and tape, and i chickened out too, but then I was like, "screw it" so I tried taping off the turn signal and it was EASY.

You don't really cut the tape to fit the edges. you take REALLY narrow tape, and shape it to the edges like you would when painting flames on a car. and you fill in the rest with regular size tape.

Ah, I didn't think pin striping tape would be able to make the bends. I should have tried that.

oh it's thinner then stripe tape. I had to cut the painters tape down to about 2mm, but that wasn't hard.

They also make the tape that comes thin like that already. Looks good man... I think i am the only 3G owner that likes the clear tail lights.

I need to paint the center break light too, but I'm not going to until I get the STI wing.

Yeah, that's the pin striping tape I was talking about. But I think the thinnest you can normally get is 1/8". Sounds like he had to cut it quite a bit thinner than that to get it to make the bends it needs to make for the taillights.

Yes, you are a ricer. They look horrible.

    :p

But really, they do look terrible.

You are so not coming to my all night roller rink birthday party next week.... JERK... oh and that was pretty funny.

I think you did a good job. I think the tinted out rear lights look best, but don't want the negative attention from the cops. I personally think the red lights on the back of our cars does look bad... but that is just me. The kid with yellow wheels.

Tinted? Clear? You are a ricer!
