So, I replaced my antenna today (yay, modifications!) When I looked into the rear-view mirror at highway speed, all I could see was the antenna flapping about in the wind. Here's the old long one. Long and thin. Short and stubby. But the length to girth ratio is closer to that 2:1 ratio the ladies love It even says "The Stubby" on the side of it. Glorious.
I decided that Minnesota DMVs problems with MNLARs aren't my problem. I paid for the plate, it's mine. I keep the bull**** plates I was forced to buy due to their incompetence stored behind my passenger seat. These plates have a sticker that says '19 on it. As far as I'm concerned, they'll be on there till March of next year.
After all this time I have yet to run into the story of the screen name. I'm guessin' at some point in time you drove one of these:
I thought about putting my stickers for the new plates onto my personalized plates. But i suck, because I didn’t...and now i can’t.
No, these are the legitimate stickers for the redymix plates. I got them in March of this year when I renewed my registration. Then I bought the 370z and paid 170$ to transfer them. Then the DMV informed me that "oops, we can't do that, you have been issued a new set of plates that you have to pay an additional fee for."
Yeah, I wasn’t happy when i got that news. Although, they did say that i would only have to pay $5 to reinstate my vanity plates. They should pay me $5 for the inconvenience though me thinks.
Did they give any dates yet when we can reinstate our plates? They didn't know anything when I asked.
They had HP developing their MNLARS system, but then took over development using in house IT and contractors. The new system doesn't have the functionality to transfer personalized plates (among other issues).
Why don't you go do that? Seriously, we need someone with half a brain to deliver. MINIMUM. VIABLE. PRODUCT. The MVP of MNLARS should have been a 1:1 feature parity with what it replaced. Otherwise, you're going to have problems.
