Hey Guys - I'm not a new member per se, but my account has been dormant for some time now. I found myself back here in an attempt to sell some bits and pieces off my old 2007 WRX that is long gone by now (perhaps the new owner is a member?!), and after browsing for a bit, it looks like there is still plenty of activity happening around these parts. While I'm no longer a Subaru owner, I thought it would be fun to try become more active in the group again. My current weekend warrior is a 2007 Nissan 350z Roadster. Yup, I was willing to take on an additional 200lbs and slightly less rigidity for an absolute blast of a car to drive. It may not be everyone's taste, but that's okay, to each their own. I'm hoping to become more social in the group, so I'll be on the lookout for any events taking place in the near future assuming it's safe to do so.
I picked it up in the suburbs of Chicago back in October 2018. Tip touching is all part of the convertible owners society on-boarding manual. What can I say, I'm a creature of habit! Realistically, it was a really good deal so color wasn't a huge variable in the mix. I must have a thing for dark gray w/ black wheels...
We’ll have to have a “Coupes Cruise” one of these days. Convertibles welcome. Haha Bring it on the LaXCruise. You can touch tips with Jason there. He’s bringing the Z, I’m sure of it.
I may sign up for the LaXCruise, but I'll need to check to see what my calendar looks like. Stay tuned...
I won't go back honestly. I traded the 2005 350Z roadster in for a 2010 370z roadster of the same color (red). It is hard to even think about going away from a pure sports car experience at this point. I think the only step further at this point is something more raw, like an exocar. Which I am considering. But I would keep the Z. Honestly, the Z is just too much fun to drive.
