Haven't posted awhile but I need some help with my summer wheels. I have an 03 wrx sedan and the rims I want are 18x8 with a 40+ offset. What are my options to do to be able to get these wheels without rubbing issues? I know spacers aren't good for my bearings. Would fender roll help? What exactly is fender roll? Any help would be appreciated because i really want these wheels.

    P.s
If you suggest new wheels, please specify which ones. I want something that not many subies have. Thanks in advance

Need some info. What are you dropped with? Have camber bolts or plates? What tires are you planning on running?

Here's some pics that show what fender rolling is. Post #13 and 24

That tool can be rented. Or you can get it done at Street Scenes. Or some people do it themselves with a baseball bat. You need a heat gun and I would recommend renting the tool or getting it done at a shop that has experience, unless you have some buddies who have done it before. If done wrong, paint cracking and ripples in the metal are common.

I am dropped with Tein springs. No camber bolts or plates. What ever tires would be best for that size to help avoid rubbing. But i was thinking 235 or 225/40/18

:+1: With those sizes, if you rub, you won't be rubbing a whole lot. A fender roll would be enough to avoid the rubbing. If you don't want to DIY, I'm sure a few guys around here would be willing to lend a hand.

Yea, fender rolling and maybe a degree or two of camber and you'll be fine, especially if you're only running 225's

Sup bro! Yea still going strong :)

Thanks for the help guys. I will get the wheels and then the fender roll. Any reputable shops that does them? I heard that street scenes does them but don't know about how good they are.
