JBark....you are right....County 1 is a blast! There are actually lots of cool roads as you head down toward Preston....Houston...etc.

I am going to try go get something organized in October. I'll start working on it next week.

So I'm seeing a few new names on the site from the 507 (and a few old too), just thought I'd see if people were up for a get together sometime. Ya know, meet n greet, hang out, maybe a drive.

I am around this weekend. Will probably do my oil change on saturday.

Sunday would be a good day to hangout. We could meet up at chateau or some other place.

    let's do it!

hmf... out of town :( have fun guys
    - nabil, nice to see you're still alive!

the "clunk" in my suspension has mysteriously returned. I don't know if it's a blown strut or some clearance issue. its just mildly annoying at this point.

Is it in the rear? Mine has one too, wrxboy2003 thought it might be from a bolt on my swaybar that doesn't look right.

no, actually it's in my drivers side front, maybe both front sides, but likely just the drivers side. i tried tightening the top strut nut because that seemed to do the trick this spring when i had the same problem, but no dice... almost sounds like a rattling/shaking over low speed bumps/cracks.

well Pat, I'd say either play around in there and see if anything is loose, or replace everything with upgrades! Seriously if I get any ideas I'll let you know.

heh, yeah i have been hiding. If you plan on working on your suspension this winter, let me know as i would like to add RSB and Springs to my car. I just bought some tools (floor jack/stands/mechanic's toolbox etc).

let's meet at about 1pm and after hanging out for a while we could go watch a movie or something. I would'nt mind watching Saw3, the departed, the prestige, or flag of our fathers.

I have the weekend of 11th and 29th available. You are more than welcome to visit and maybe we can organize a drive in town.

    let me know.

    Pat

Are you running aftermarket endlinks in front? Going back to the stock ones cleared up all of my front end clunking.

If you want to take the strut out and check things out I do have a set of spring compressors.

I'm still running stock endlinks. This spring when i first had this problem i believe i still had the stock FSB (now whiteline). I'm wondering if my foglight is loose or something on that order. I need someone to bang around under there while i'm in the drivers seat to listen for it. Worse case senario, my axle is loose and my wheel falls off while i'm driving to my parent's...

I should be around Friday afternoon after 3:30 or so if you want to come over....I don't mind taking a hammer to someone else's car. :)

Respond here or call my cell if you want to come over so I make sure I am there.

Just let me know when you want to do them. I can definately get the RSB in, Steve has Spring compressors...

Steve, Josh and I accomplished nothing - save for putting on my stock wheels/tires. The noise is still there, and the top rubber on my strut/spring is all messed up. I would like to borrow your spring compressors and possibly break some of your tools ;)... let me know when/if you can help...

Well, I think I'll have Josh help at first. If we can't find it then I'll head to Steve's, then maybe Nabil can join us later! :)) haha! anyway, I'm not too worried about it. just frustrated that i can't figure it out. I'll probably put on my stock wheels this weekend too. Should have some Blizzaks coming my way borrowing an employee discount.

It was the rubber ring where the top of the spring meets the metal top of the strut. (did that explain it? i don't know) anyway it was metal on metal whenever the spring compressed. So there you have it - mystery solved!

Steve, I'll get your spring compressors back to you sometime. You probably don't need them anytime soon though.

I don't know about their coil-overs but I had Megan springs on t3h SRT, did a pretty nice job. And quality was good for the $.

So....you're inviting us out to hang with your fellow computer-nerd friends....

shows what you think of our social lives. :)

Actually....I just realized....I pretty much don't have a social life.

FYI....I wouldn't care if we had occasional winter gatherings at my place....but a bar wouldn't be too bad either.

Pat....come over this weekend some time and let me give a listen. I have had more than my share of mystery clunks.

What about a wheel bearing. Try yanking on the wheel a couple of times and see if you feel any play.
