Well, after the third time being pulled over this month I finally have my written warning for window tint. Getting pulled over is starting to suck so I am going to try to pin my tint friend down to a weekend to do a few of our cars. I am thinking about getting 50% just so they leave me alone so that should be available, otherwise he usually has 30%. If anybody wants in PM me or let me know somehow.

 

Sorry to hear that. What % is your tint at now? Where did you get pulled over, and by who (stateboy?)?

I'd think about changing mine, but i haven't gotten a written warning/ ticket yet. Scares me that they would pull me over just for tint some night when i've had one or 2 down the road...

 

The first 2 were Lake City boys the third was a State Trooper on 63 by the Bellchester turnoff. He had to stop, wait for a couple of cars to pass and then did 90 to catch up to me. Just for the tint. Btw it's 20%.

It sad that they can an do pull people over just for tint but can't pull someone over just for not having their seatbelt on. I won't even get into the part about SUV's having dark tint....but that's okay. I call B.S.

I would definately be in for some 50% Tint action.

I called him today and he says he is up to it, just need to figure out how many cars, what tint % and final cost. Also let me know if you need to remove any old tint. I am going to remove mine myself except the back window (stupid defrost) and can help anybody else.

 

Price is $25-35 per window, back window usually counts as 2. He has time this weekend to do a few and I am going to do mine Tuesday.

 

He wasn't sure about that weekend and he's leaving town for a couple of weeks on the 15th. I'll see if he can do the 30th? Sure he needs New Years Eve $$$

I was just trying to to get some people from work to go to prokart in burnsville. I was just there on sat. and it was awsome!!! so I'd be up for it. if you want prices check out there web site prokartindoor.com

 

does no one post any more? I was thinking if we could get like 20 people we could rent the place for 2 hrs for around 60-70 bucks a person. if you want they will do bracket races, endurance 2 man teem, etc. with 20 people each person would get around an hour of drive time, which is better then the 8 min race for $18. if we cant get that many people I think they have a 20 min race for $30 if you have a min of 9 people.

 

I'm game but I have to finish a couple projects before I have that kind of free cash.

I think it would be tough to get 20 people....but I have no friends and no social life....so I'm probably not the one to judge.

I would be in for either option but $60-70 seems kind of steep for two hour....and I'm sure every driver doesn't get to drive the entire 2 hours.

I would be in once to give it a try.

I know Nabil has been thinking about the ice races, I'm still on the fence.

 

Yup it is painful to get on the boards right now because I miss my baby too much. I know you guys will flame me for this, but I actually stored it for the winter and sold my winter wheels and tires to a friend. I know it is a Subaru, I know it is AWD, I remember how much fun it is in the snow....but I also know what a pain it is to work on all those rusted bolts under the car and I can't seem to forget how much my coilovers cost. So, no Suby until the spring for me. Karting may be just the thing to get that feeling back. Late February would probably work better for me, but I will try to make it whenever.

Well, that sucked! - I just drove from Madison tonight and it was snowing 3/4 of the way. luckily no accident, but i saw a fair share that ditched it. I drove 60 most of the way here and only passed people doing 35. talk about white knuckling it. ugh! glad i'm back and safe! anyone want to whip ****ties???

I know what you mean, I had to drive to Owatonna and back. Wasn't too bad though.
