I go to Clements here in Rochester about every week. They always hook me up! And They have started to carry more subie things in stock so now we dont have to wait and order all the things we want. Actually. I'm going there today. If you talk to Ollie at the parts dept he will hook you up.

 

Cool, I'll have to remember that. I usually end up with some kid that insists he needs the VIN for my car to look up parts! The parts dept has been less than helpful to me. Michelle, on the other hand, will do anything for the customer! She's great!

I get the same guy every time, maybe I should give him the VIN from my 9-2x and see if he can figure that one out. I haven't had the best luck getting parts either, seems like something generic is always out of stock. Once it was the air filter, and last time it was the rear wiper refill for the wagon. It's not like I'm asking for some really obscure parts.

At least they've always had the oil filter and crush washer when I needed them.

 

I think that they take their orders on Friday and Wed. Because most of the time if we need something ordered they get it within 2-3 days. Also. They have a couple of pamplets to look through. Nothing major but at least it's not all just chevy stuff. I know a few months ago Ollie said he was going to try and get Subaru to send them Some things to keep on hand. If I ever have a question about finding something stock or cant find what I'm looking for Ollie will call Subaru up and ask and usually gets my answer pretty quickly. I had them install my spoiler and they did a nice job. And here in town Universal Marine and Rv painted my side skirts. There were also wonderful and it only took them a day. Wasn't too expensive.

 

only 4 weeks til the LaCrosse cruise! Lets get a good rochester showing here. I will lead a caravan from shopko north to Wabasha to meet up with the rest of the mnsubaru crew.

Does anyone here have experience installing stereo stuff?

I have alpine type R speakers in the front and rear doors already and wanted a little more bass. The new HU and Nav system are something I have been interested in for a long time and finally just could not hold off anymore.

I think I could handle the install, but if there is anyone that really knows what they are doing, I would not mind some help.

I don't really know what I'm doing but I would be willing to help. I helped install my head unit and then installed the Alpine Ipod adapter and later XM on my own.

Let me know if you want/need some amateur assistance. I know I'm qualified to hold a flashlight!

Also...for another time....I have a Kartboy rear shifter bushing, transmission mount bushings and differential bushings to install. If anyone is game for helping / spectating.

Thanks Steve, sometimes moral support is the most important part! I actually got the HU, Nav, and Ipod cable today, the sub has not shipped yet. I may take you up on the help when it arrives.

I will be in the cities tomorrow but would be up for a meet on Monday...

 

I have an autocross next Sunday. Other than that I don't have anything on the social calendar for next weekend.

For the MAM event with Find the Line on June 30 - July 1st....are you doing just Saturday or are you planing on doing both days?

I can give you a hand with the install too. I'm not MECP certified but i've done quite a few installs.

Btw, nice choice on the deck, that's the same one I'm looking into. Let me know how you like it.
